I added a CB radio, the Cobra 29Lx fit perfectly in between the dome lights. 8F6B64D2-D40E-46A2-8498-4462B551A36F.jpg

Dang......unfortunately my comp deductible is $600 but I have been driving for 34ish years and this is the first windshield I have had to replace on mine or my wife’s car. I guess I need to look at my policy to see if there is some coverage specific to the windshield that doesn’t cost too much.

Guess it could have been worse and the rock could have hit the hood and dented the crap out of it.

My deductible is 100 and calibration is covered I just send them the invoice and I get reimbursed. The first time
The calibration was 458. The dealer told me and i was like who cares that y I have insurance. Because our trucks are so new they replace with oem toyota windshields but for some odd reason the Toyota windshield don’t seem to strong in my opinion since this will be the 3rd one on the truck since I purchase it in 6 months ago

Yeah I didn’t really care either because the replacement was going to be as much as the deductible without the calibration anyway but that’s just a ridiculous cost for that service especially since the camera probably won’t need calibration anyway if they just remove and re-attach carefully....but the whole I am using is doing the calibration regardless so I don’t have to mess with the dealership.

The shop said 45 minutes for the calibration....dealer said 3 hours

Yeah it’s required for them to at least check it to make sure it’s correct. But according to the shop there is no tolerance.....it’s a pass/fail process.

So far, since January thru part of a Chicago winter. I used Dupli-color Engine Enamel with Ceramic and the matching primer. I was worried it was only rated up to 500°F, but haven't had any issues.

Same size for me too, the 33s look so much better than the stock size.
These tires are great and they last a long time. My gf has gone thru tires like crazy on her AWD SUVs, getting maybe 30k miles out of them. She got these about 40k miles ago on her highlander and they look new still.

    Too many…scratch that…not done yet.
Got my TRD shift knob last week finally. 'And like any other add on/mod, I had to customize it a bit...

After some gentle prying with a trim tool I got the plastic shroud off and center TRD piece apart.

    IMG_0054.jpg

I started with the red stitching. Removed factory loop stitch.
I then re-stitched the same design as my steering wheel and my grab handles. I ran the straight-lines first, then a binding thread, crisscrossing every other stitch. I added a bit more contact adhesive before pulling everything tight.

Lastly, I carbon-wrapped the shroud with same 5D carbon I used on the interior trim, before putting it all back together. Undecided about painting the TRD inlay, but that will be easy to do later.

    Thanks gents!
I was def a bit nervous getting the thing apart. The little insert with the TRD is snapped in tight. Crazy how a threaded insert, three pieces of plastic and about 9 sq. inches of leather costs $85+ o_O

Took my 2018 1794 today for my 20K oil change and rotation. I didn't realize they had two recall software updates from March. Three hours to do the upgrades! I had to schedule another appointment for it.

I did put on my WeatherTech window deflectors. Hopefully it helps with that wind noise at about 85 mph. Putting in my ESP underseat organizer in tomorrow.
