Does anyone know why the 2017 doesn’t have the power of the previous models ? I’m on my third Tundra and it’s very disappointing. 2006 & 2010 were without a doubt more powerful and finished much better !

Welcome from AZ. Can you explain a bit more what you mean?...throttle response, etc?

The 3rd gens have the same power but the throttle isnt as touchy and the shift points are different. If you have a "tow/haul" button, push it and it will feel a lot more like your second gen tundras you had in the past.
Several people here have bought something called a pedal commander, which you can adjust throttle response and shift points with. Same engine, same trans, its the computer that translates the power and delivers it a bit differently.

You've got an 07, your normal driving is like us 3rd gen suckers driving with tow/haul engaged.

I was thinking OP was referring to the throttle response as well. If so, I'd look into the Pedal Commander as @Pudge mentioned. I don't have one myself, but have heard positive reviews on them.

Thanks for the responses. I live in VT so a lot of hills and mountains, when pulling a Camper it’s obvious the power with the 3rd gen is just not there. Toyota have been no help, very disappointing, they used to be better than that !

I understand the OP's frustration. But one needs to stop and realize for a moment that the vehicle manufacturers in American have had to make a deal with the devil >>>> the benevolent imperial federal guvmunt >>> to be able to sell their trucks in these here United States. And that deal is: yup, that's right----fuel mileage. So before we tee off on and bash Toyota let's recall that the playing field for the 2017's vehicles was not the playing field just a few years before that. There are general motors trucks that actually cut out cylinders when you're going down the road. Why would they, for God's sake, do that???

Same power just feels different. No way in hell your 06 was faster or more powerful than your new truck. As stated the throttle response is different as well as the shift points. Click the tow haul button and it’s a different animal.

Tow / Haul button pressed on the 2010 and the 2017, the 2010 had more power and better gas mileage !
