Ever seen a gun with camo print? Thats hydrographic. Youtube "Hydrodip" or "Hydrographics"... I'll be doing dash and engine parts... Not to mention guns. Google hydrographic films. They do carbon fibers, camos, lightening, zombie, endless possibilities... It will have the look of custom airbrushing,at a fraction of the cost.

Popped of emblem then cleaned the cover real deep with a brush and APC. Rinse, dry and wipe down with IPA. After that evaporates, tape off the section not to be sprayed. sand the part with 800 paper, then wipe down again with IPA. Blow the part with compressed air to get any residual dust off. Spray 3 coats with High temp engine enamal. On the 3rd coat, spray a clear over the wet color. Then 2 more coats of clear as the flash off. Let set up for about 30 mins. Remove the tape and I'm goin to let it sit overnight before I reinstall it on the truck.

I would NOT recommend masking off the 5.7L V8 because it sucks ass and ya, it sucks ass. spent longer doing that the actually spraying.

Might have been a pain but very nice work! I've bee considering adding red accents (calipers, tailgate letter inserts, etc) to my white Tundra and I think you just made up my mind for me.

Tell ya what, when I was done it was worth it. I wanted to keep the black lettering. it came out exactly how I wanted. I wanted to keep with the blacked out look so I think the red accents will pop pretty nice. going to do the fuse box and add decals also. I went the VHT red and it was the perfect color. not to dark and not to bright.

I also went ahead and mounted a new matte black bumper and debadged. And debadging sucked majorly.
