Not sure how this happened. Run away shopping cart perhaps?

Suggestions for potentially fixing this dent?

Will the cost out weigh living with it?

    So many questions.....

Inside door panel is easy to pull off. You may be able to push and tap it out from behind there. You may wanna look into a painless dent repair guy, they do amazing work that will blow your mind

Painted dent repair and consider cash and keeping it unreported so it doesn't show up on Carfax.

The dentless guys can remove the dent, but the messed up paint will cost a lot more. I had my tailgate down, lifted the tongue on the trailer and put a small dent in the tailgate. It was $140 to push it back out, but my paint was fine.

PDR (Paintless Dent Repair), probably around $75 to knock that out. Can't really tell if there is paint damage, hopefully that can be buffed out.

The paint doesn't look damaged to me. Maybe just scuffed or paint transfer, but I could be wrong. Hopefully could be buffed out, or at most wet sanded and buffed. If you run your fingernail across it, does it catch?

I agree with the other responses here. PDR seems like the way to go. I have seem some of those guys fix much worse.

Thank you all. Reached out to an experienced PDR guy here in Portland. Fingers crossed.

Not a runaway shopping cart. Runaway uncaring people who damage other people's property and don't have the decency to leave a note and take responsibility. Hope it works out OK without too much out-of-pocket.

I hate that. Got two on my door the other day. Will be taking to a dent repair shop. Unfortunately one chipped the paint.

Any good PDR shop can remove that dent where you won’t know it was ever there.

If the paint is damaged then that’s another matter.
