Only thing available for a 4.6 is Hypertech. But if your truck is 14+ it’ll likely throw a check engine light.

    To optimize a stock truck:

    Stock air box mod
    Throttle body coolant bypass
    Bamufflers catback

By lowering intake temps you reduce pre ignition

Our ecu constantly pushes for more timing. It’ll add a degree here degree there little by little until it hears preignition, then pull a block of 4 degrees!!

Then later try to add it back. And the cycle continues.

By suppressing pre ignition by lowering intake temps you get to keep more of the timing your ecu is trying to give you.

To sum it up, initially there is zero difference. But in the long run there is slightly better performance. Being a totally free mod what do ya have to lose??

Try it without the pedal module. Just the Underwood module. It really wakes up:)
