    The Bastrds are planning a trip on Independence Day. We will meet in Barstow, CA on Thursday afternoon, July 4th and depart Sunday morning/afternoon. We will likely run Phillips Loop, Wall Street Canyon Overlook, Last Chance Canyon, Opal Canyon, Jawbone to Isabella, and Freeway Ridge, Black Gulch Trail. And almost all dirt in between. Most of these are moderate Blue trails, but 2 are difficult Red trails, and the green trail I'm expecting us to run at high speeds. There should also be a few long stretches of high speed between Barstow and Last Chance Canyon.

    Going:
    @joonbug
    @831Tun
    @GodlessPro
    @Vizsla
    @Challenger1

    I'd like to keep it to 6 trucks or less since it's going to be a pretty long and brutal trip. Over 200 miles on dirt. But you must have atleast some experience crawling and can keep decent speed on flats.

    Basic requirements-
    4wd
    atleast a solid MT setup
    +34" tires with full size spare
    sliders and armor highly recommended
    camping gear

    We have space for 1 or 2 more trucks... Let me know if anyone wants to join.

    I have done Jawbone to Isabella. Nice and scenic. You guys should stop in Kernville as well for some whitewater rafting.

    Sounds like an awesome trip. Wish I could go... Just be careful though. Barstow area in summer is hot as :playball:

    Let's go Jeff! Yeah I'm expecting 90-100 the whole time. Hopefully it doesn't go over 100 by too much.

    I'll be in Portland or I would roll with you guys. Make sure to send me tracks, some of those trails I had planned for this year. I couldn't do them last year because I snapped a CV so I completed the trip in 2wd. Make sure you guys spend at least one night at the most beautiful camp site in CA...

    @joonbug I freaking wish dude thanks for the invite man. I am mandated to work that weekend no days off. But the overtime will pay for my Baja lights I’m putting on the new bumper so that’s a plus. But I’ll be ready soon so keep me in mind for future stuff

    I think there’s a Poker Flat Trail run in the works right now. I’m not sure I’ll be making it but I’ll be sure the other guys let you know if I don’t go. As of now it looks like July 19 or July 21.

    Not to far from us. Tons of fire roads and crazy stuff of dirt bikes. New to this wheeling scene but I’m sure they have wheeling up there

    I know of a short easy trail called Sourgrass just a little past Arnold. It has a fairly deep water crossing with a tricky exit.

    I'm definitely going back to Niagara this year. That was probably the most difficult trail I've ran so far. But all those trails around there are still snowed out and not open yet. I've been talking about going back to Barney Riley again too. That was one of the first trails me, Warren, and Matt ever ran and it was really fun. Actually pretty difficult when we were complete newbs and there was a lot of pin striping. Corral Hollow, is the easiest of the 3. But very very tight, basically weaving through a forest. That one I'm not going back to. It's fun the first time, but too easy to go back to.
