My attorney was 30%. Many people think this is out of your pocket, but it comes from your settlement. I hear the average is 33%

Is this his insurance or your insurance? If his, go to your insurance agent and see what they can do for you with the uninsured/under insured portion of your policy.
My daughter had a wreck several years ago where the other drivers insurance (Progressive) low-balled the vehicle value (it was 5 months old and only had about 2k on it).
Went to our insurance company and pursued it that way (for the amount of the outstanding balance owed).
Her vehicle was considered totaled by both insurance companies. Our insurance company then went after the other driver and Progressive.

My wife is a Legal Nurse Consultant, and reviews and summarizes cases like this all the time. The insurance company is really getting off the hook if you choose not to hire an attorney. Future medical problems can as a result of the accident and your private health insurance may not cover you. Find an aggressive attorney and protect yourself for the unknown. I do wish you a speedy recovery. Take care.

Well the saga continues...After getting back on my feet I have been out shopping for a new Tundra. I was able to get a deal I am happy with at the same dealership I purchased my last Tundra at in 2013. Being an ex F&I guy and salesperson at a nearby Honda dealer. I also worked at this dealership for about a year after leaving Honda. I know some of the Toyota dealerships managers as well as the owner to some degree

One thing that has stuck in my craw since signing my paperwork last night was I asked the F&I guy 2 times very clearly if the Vehicle Service Agreement he was offering me was thru Toyota Financial Services. He told me twice it was. As soon as he handed me the paperwork and I verified the terms of it I saw the name Liberty! I asked him again and he told me again it was thru Toyota. Well I did my homework as soon as I got home and found out otherwise. So I am on my way back to the dealer to cancel the aftermarket warranty. My concern at this point is this. As a ex car guy I know we always pushed the dealers extended warranty (VSC) because it made us more money and it helped keep the customers coming back to our store. Plus the owner frowned upon us selling to many Honda VSC. But we were allowed to if a client requested one or insisted. This Toyota dealer is telling me they do not sell the Toyota VSC period! I find that hard to believe, especially with this dealer being the great crusader for no dealer service fees! Why would they tick people off and try to force you to buy their VSC plan. Also it seems that Toyota would require the dealership to at least offer the Toyota VSC if a client wanted one. I guess it will now become important to ask up front from a dealer if they offer a manufactures VSC in their F&I dept. if I am going to be interested in one. The deal is sweet, they even ate the cost of about $600 worth of accessories that came with the truck I did not ask for or want! It was a dealer trade as the 2019 SR5 Double Cab 4x4 with the SR5 Upgrade Package and TRD Off-Road Package in Calvary Blue is difficult to find.

It is a weekend so I have not been able to find out if I can buy one directly from Toyota as they are closed until Monday. Does anyone know if you can buy the same 10yr/125,000 Platinum VSC from Toyota that you are supposed to be able to buy at the dealership after you drive you truck home? Or can I buy one at another dealership? I wanted to finance a portion of it as the rates are super cheap but will not be able to if the dealer continues to insist they do not sell them. I am in the SET region of Toyota Land (southeast Toyota distributorships) Florida to be exact.

Well I am heading back down to the shark pool, Got my BANG stick and a smile upon my face. They will do what they will do and I will adjust accordingly, no sense in making it personnel I suppose. Just hate it when a finance guy outright lies to you even when he knows you know the game pretty well. Dealers just don't change their strips easily.

    Still rolling stock baby....

The dealer I have used will not sell a Toyota warranty either, they sell one called genesis. I passed, sure it might be a good company, but if I want that extended warranty I want it thru Toyota, just my .02

You can buy the Toyota warranty from any dealership, I think there's someone on here that sells it for a good price.

Try calling these for an actual Toyota warranty. They will beat your dealers price...

    Mechanicsville Toyota (Virginia, area 804)
