I have a 2019 CM TRD Sport that I swapped the tires and wheels out with TRD OR wheels 275/70R18 tires about 900 miles into it. I just had my first 5-6K service done at a local dealer where I think they just rotate the tires. I swear I'm feeling a slight wobble in the steering wheel after the tire rotation. I had the 6112 shocks installed shortly after the tires and wheels and had an alignment done at that time as well. Everything has been super smooth until now. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this after a tire rotation? It's not too bad, but it's there and I don't want to wear some parts out because it's not all balanced or aligned properly now. Not sure if I should call the dealer or the tire shop that did all the work.

One of your front wheels are out of balance. Probably didn't feel it when they were mounted in the rear.

Thanks Joonbug. Makes sense. I'm guessing my tire shop can recheck/balance pretty easily so I'll probably just stop by there this week.

got same problem after I mounted new rims. Very little wobble, couldn't really tell but after my last rotation, I think I have a bad rim. This is a second set of tires and still wobble. Pretty severe right now. New rotors and pads this weekend and will rotate tires to isolate problem rim.

I took the truck to the tire shop the next day and they rebalanced the wheels and said they were a little off. No wobble now.

Another shameless plug for Discount Tire.

When they rotate your tires, for free, they also balance the tires.

gonna use a different shop. When I had my stock tires mounted on new rims a little wobble. new tires installed by same shop and still wobble. rotated tires and much more severe wobble.

fixed my wobble today with new rotors all around and rotate front to back. One tire up front had no balance weights at all. Guessing mechanic missed one being in a hurry. On the back can't hardly tell. But atlas I narrowed it down. and got new brakes. ( didn't need, but wanted)

On-going problem... needed two front tires when I got the truck back in March. I was in the process of doing other stuff(trying to recover from Michael)to it so I just got a couple of cheap tires($100ea mounted & balanced+tax of course). When I drove away, I heard a bang like a rock hitting the inside of the front fender. Had some wobble but thought it would settle and needed to get some other things done so ignored it. Then it occurred to me it might have been a weight that hit the fender. Eventually took it to a friend with a balance machine and we did the left front; the one I suspected. Drove some more and still had the shakes. Finally got back to my buddy again and we balanced the other one(RF). This is two months later. While balancing the tire we both saw something weird, but obvious; the tire is out of round. Would not suspected such a thing but it was pretty obvious. Had one of those ah-chit moments 'cause now it's too late to take the tires back(past 30 days). Sooo, put them on the back and it is better but not great. The tires were actually made in Thailand but so are some of the name brands, I am finding out.
