P&P Engineering dual swing out rear bumper

It's as simple as unbolt the OE stuff and bolt this in with a little fanageling to get things out and back in around the exhaust.

 

Damn man, 1st I fell in love with ur sliders and now this too. Somebody wants to take my whole tax return next year lol. Don't know if u recall, but I spoke to u a while back about working out a deal on the sliders. I still haven't got any yet. Wish I had the funds, I'd take the sliders and the bumper in a package deal. We might just have to discuss that someday down the road. When I'm not broke of course. Great job man, I love it. This and the sliders are on my list for sure.

 

What size u got under the truck Dan? Shoot me a PM if u dont mind with the details just so we dont jack this thread anymore than I'm about to with this. Reason I ask, I didn't see any way of making these giant pitbull rockers fit. They're 35x12.5r17. I think mine won't fit because of the gigantic knobbies and trd duals. I mean look and zoom in at the sidewalls of these knubs. The meats on them are ridiculous(in a good way)


I looked under there and put the tire up just to see. I didn't see anyway of it happening for me. They true measure out to 35.4 but it's the meats on them plus the stock trd duals have me thinking this ain't possible. They probably are closer to trying to fit a 37 than they are a 35.

This was just earlier today, before I took it out and got really dirty. As u can probably tell, they have the ability to throw quite a bit of mud, my truck was covered not too long after this pic.


The only way I can bring my spare with me for now is like this, laying on the bedslide. That or as u can see on top the DB cover is an option too.



So I'm guessing your oversize tire mounted under the truck might not be as big and aggressive as what I'm working with? I'm also guessing I could really benefit from their pair of sliders and this bumper.

I kinda feel like I need this bumper. Damn u P&P.

I should, but unfortunately I'm saving for sliders. Which btw I know u make some great looking ones. I've tried a bunch of times to buy some off people secondhand but the distance always ruined the deal. 1 day, unfortunately probably next year.

 

Rather than using the bumper to carry a spare tire...I have a full size tire mounted underneath...would it be possible to design a metal utility box that doesn't extend above the level of the tailgate?
