I was out breaking in the new truck today and came across this little gem. I'm glad we pulled out at the same time and they were heading east to the flat ground. Not sure how the Tacoma would have done in the mountains with this load.

When we pulled out, he mobbed that truck and it took forever to get up to speed. I past him when it was safe to do so. My lord....

This picture is a little deceiving. Right in the center is a hump in the concrete. Where he is parked, the trailer is lifting the ass end of the Tacoma. When he left, it was on the bumps.

Dang, if he does that often, not sure why he didn't just go with the tundra, seeing as the MSRP is more or less the same.

Whenever I see that, I cringe. At least get some airbags!! (I'm aware it's not a replacement for a higher tow capacity nor an excuse to overload but wouldn't be so apparent you bit off more than you could chew!)

I agree Law. The Tundra would make quick work of that load and do it safely.

Not sure if those are the 75 lb bails or 110 lb.

I was wondering that. I almost said 110, but then again, it's a (assuming) stock Tacoma. We all know stock leafs aren't designed for close to the tow capacity. When I moved up here to TN, I loaded up a 6x12 enclosed trailer with about 3k or so, and my truck was perfectly level (I have a 3/1 level with 1.25" rake). A far cry from my max capacity and about 1k more, I would've looked like that Tacoma.

I couldn't imagine towing that load with my 14' long box Tacoma, and I am impressed with the get up and go of that truck.

Then again, if someone has never towed with a truely exceptional tow rig, they probably don't know any better either.
