Im at a loss..Im really hoping someone here can help because i cannot for my life figure out what is happening.

I have a 2010 crewmax platinum tundra with a rear window that fully rolls down and up..or at least used to.

    Steps ive taken so far:

1.At first i thought it was maybe the fuses..after a simple test those checked out to be fine

    2. Assuming it was the motor I ordered the OEM part to replace. however, I wanted to test it before i did so i plugged it in without installing. Connected it and it started to work but only would roll up, not down. This lead me to maybe believe it was the actual switch up front.

    3. testing the switch i used a multi meter to the wires in the back while i had a buddy play with the up and down switch...I got a reading ( same amount) from both up and down when the switch was engaged.

Not knowing if it was the switch itself I bought an OEM, Plugged it in and nothing..

So here i am, Hoping someone here can help me recognize something i didnt.. Any help is greatly appreciated... I love my window and wont give up on it! help! lol

I have a DC, so I may be off base, but is there a sensor that tells the motor to stop? I know the door windows have pinch sensors so IDK if there's a sensor that prevents it from rolling down.

Hi Gravity Gear, I have DC as well. I was thinking the same thing you are. One thing i noticed now is when i go up there is tension all the way at the top but the sensor is stopping it from going up further like you are saying..I do not get that kind of reaction with going down on the switch. I just dont know what else it could be. I appreciate your input

im sorry 08crewmax, I dont quite understand what you mean by that. Regardless of me holding the switch up or down or even flicking it once i get the same result if that is what you are referencing.

Wait, you have a double cab (DC) or crewmax (CM)?

Did you probe at the connector or at the switch?
