Just saw this thread for the first time. Great idea on starting it. You're right that such a common cancer gets swept under the rug when discussing options and support. I'll be sure to read the entire thread soon to catch up.

And you're here telling your Tundra family about your own personal miracle of beating that rotten cancer. I'm still shocked we don't have preventative measures for such common issues

Thanks Monet, we greatly appreciate that! He's my hero, gotta keep him kicking to teach me more lessons.....and guide me through my upcoming front diff rebuild

Hang in there man, it sucks having to get a lot of treatments. Everyday for 10 mins on the table, having to drink lots of water before you arrive and hold back the flood gates. FYI, don’t be discouraged or too worried about your lab work if the numbers haven’t changed much. Radiation takes time to get those results on paper. Trust me, the number will almost look the same at first, but radiation is more of a long game. You’re in good hands and before you know it, you’ll be one step closer to beating it. Stay strong

Man, I hope you get free of it brother! I'm at 4 years now of Stage 4 Renal Cell Carcinoma. They gave me less than a year when diagnosed in 2015. I have one kidney and 1 adrenal gland.. adrenal still has a small tumor. The cancer immunotherapy clinical trial I got into worked for a year and a half and shrunk that tumor 40%. Bad news it gave me an auto-immune disease that attacks my skin. Fighting that now. Cancer ain't for sissy's! Only good thing is, with only one adrenal gland... Nothing scares me! LOL

Like I said at first. Best of luck to you!

Back at yah! Best of luck to you. The side effects can suck. I shrank almost an inch due to bone loss and my skin bruises easily.

I was at Stage 4 ColoRectal cancer... I KNOW the radiation is bad... and the Chemo... went thru them BOTH along wit 6.5 hrs of surgery to remove my tumor.... I had to live with an illiostomy for over a year... but managed to get it reversed.... for I am grateful to be alive, but I KNOW there are others out there worse off than me....
I had no history of it in my family and it came on VERY aggressively...DO NOT dismiss any warning signs..

Those of you members out there PLEASE get the preventive steps taken to get checked regularly... both men and women..

I'm the only one in my family history to get prostate cancer although my younger brother got testicular cancer :eek2: in his mid twenties and survived that. Yearly wellness checkups are a must.

No history in my family either. Some of the best cancer Dr's in the world have no idea of what caused it.

During one of my visits awhile back my doc told me that middle eastern men really don’t have prostate troubles and they have it are finding out it has to do with tofu??!! So as much as I don’t like it we eat it once in awhile and when we get take out from where ever I ask for something with tofutti:) in it. After catching up on this I am past due for my check up so will call the doc and get there for that next week. All the best to you and yours.

I have been off of cancer specific treatment for about 6 months now. The auto-immune disease made my skin break out in blisters in my mouth, arms, legs and back. It took them sending a sample to the Mayo Clinic to identify it. It is pretty much under control as of now. Have an appointment with the oncologist at MDA early in July. Hoping to get a new treatment regimen started for the tumor. Luckily it ihas been very slow in growing. Thanks for asking and again best of luck with your battle.

I used to go to a small tofu shop in Japan to get it freshly made. Huge blocks of it that is cut into smaller blocks.

    This time....a whopping 16..

Saw my urologist a couple hours ago. Things are going so well I no longer need to see him, only bi-monthly bloodwork for PSA and Testosterone levels. ..:amen::yes::benchpress::infantry::alien::cheers:
