The only way I did it was with the TechStream software. The software walks you though it. I'm not sure if there's another way of doing it.

    None at the moment.
I just did mine, sadly the only way to program them is via TechStream software.

I talked to a local locksmith. He told me that he could get a OEM fob and program it for $80. I dont know what fer program he uses. He said that he could get all he needed by getting the info out of the trucks computer by two wires... dunno, just repeating what he said.

I’ve done zero mods. But I think it came from the factory with something done. That’s part of the reason I’m joining this forum. Want to learn more about my truck.
I don’t know if this helps but I just bought a used tundra that only came with 1 key and 1 fob. But the dealer was nice enough to get his key guy to give me the dealer pricing (supposedly) on a new set. Anyway I paid 80$ fo a new key and fob and programming of the key and fob and the guy had some kind of control box he took to the truck after cutting the new key. He attached it to something in the dash like racing John Deere said. Considering Toyota wanted 250$ to do this I’d say 80$ would be much easier for me than trying to program all that stuff myself.
