Hi, I bought some 2010 18" OEM Tundra wheels and I am planning to put them on mmy 2016. The new wheels do not have tpms sensors on them, and from what I have read, I cannot use my current sensors because I have the steel wheels and the ones I purchased are alloy. I would like to purchase tpms sensors, but my questions is, will 2016 compatible tpms sensors fit in the 2010 wheels? If not, will sensors that for in the 2010 wheels be able to "talk" to the 2016 tpms module? I was referred here by someone on reddit, and he said you all have all the answers! Thanks!

The alloy wheels use a different sensor with a different angle. Although u can mount the sensor backwards if u want that would work but is not recommended.

Thanks for the reply. I know they alloys and steels use different sensors, but other than that, model year play no part in whether the sensors work?

Picked these up today for a STEAL of a deal. Yeah, they are OEM Toyota wheels, but I have the plain Jane steelers with chrome covers on them. Blah... these will look are lot better.
