    The guys are trying to help you here. Just because it’s “legal” doesn’t articulate safe.
    The Trooper is inspecting to ensure it’s secured. He’s not checking if it’ll effect your truck, transmission, differentials, axles, etc.

    that’s all I see being said here.

    Absolutely the tundra will pull it.
    If it’s truly outside of weight limits of the truck you are putting yourself and others at risk. If your safely within the weight limits enjoy the outdoors in pease.
