I haven’t had a problem with the toytecs, but these ones are offering more lift. Also, the feedback on these shackles has been impeccable. Since they’re so heavily constructed, a lot of people have said they’re getting reduced bed bounce.

More lift makes sense. Have you replaced your bushings already? I installed the polys a couple weeks after I put my toytecs in and the polys made a noticeable improvement. Combined with the 5160s, bed bounce is pretty much non existent.

I need to update this post with some pics of everything, but got the full exhaust installed with the headers and TRD Replacement system. The thing is a beast now! (Although I really want to get it tuned.)

Also got the UCA’s, and shims on the front. My front seems to be measuring about 25.5” from center of hub to fender now in the front.

Still need to upgrade the shackles from toytec to coachbuilder, so hopefully I can do that this weekend.

Ended up buying 20x10 assaults with a -18 offset. I always wanted that deep dish look, so I will be selling my 20x9 +20 assaults soon.

This is a pic of me ceramic coating the new rims.

@TuFerLife If you installed headers you absolutely need to get it tuned. Your fuel trims are going to be all screwed up otherwise and you run the risk of running too lean and popping a piston.

Well that’s not ideal. I didn’t think there were very many tune options out for the ‘18’s right now. Guess I gotta start doing some research.

Yep. You’re moving a lot more air more efficiently out of the cylinders. Which means you’re pulling in more air. Your ecu cannot adjust your fuel trims enough to compensate for the added air. Fuel cools the cylinder. Without enough fuel and too much air, you get a really fast, really hot burn. This leads to burning up the cylinder heads and can grenade the motor. You need to physically go into the ecu to put in new fuel trim tables. This is where the tune comes in. Stock trim tables can not compensate enough.

I would absolutely refrain from doing any wot or heavy throttle runs until you're tuned for the headers.

    Been a busy few days.

Went and picked up a complete @james@tech12volts systems from a guy a couple hours away...

Ordered a Kenwood DDX9906XR and a couple pieces I was missing from JRT too.

Took the 20x9 assaults off today, and got the 20x10’s installed.

Body mount chop getting done on Monday, and installing the system Tuesday.

Got the body mount chop done yesterday, muchhhhh better.

Started the audio install today. I was only able to get to the door speakers, dynamat, and subs... I’ve almost got the amp programmed as well.

I’ll save the headunit and all the maestro stuff for another day...

All cleaned up, and I’m loving the look with these 20x10 assaults. But I suck at taking pictures!

I have nearly the same system and love it. You won’t be disappointed. I’m going on for BMC on wednesday as well. Nice ride!
