Has anyone purchased and installed this baby?

    Good experience?

I’m getting ready to order one also. I had great luck with a RC light bar for my 2003 Tacoma. It was a great lift that included the harness and everything needed to install. There are cheaper kits on eBay and Amazon but they all have issues with the harness. RC has always stood by there stuff with me.

    A bunch
Got the black one on my truck (no pictures since I've done it, but there's enough out there to see the looks) and it works fairly good. For installation getting the 3 bumper bolts loose was quite annoying but manageable once I took the tow hooks off. Light output is pretty good, but not significantly better than the halogen high beams on the stock headlights. The light is just much whiter which is quite nice. I'm running it in tandem with another one behind my hood bulge, so the RC one is pointed down slightly to get the road more.

Agree. RC stuff tends to be good. Can’t wait to get the kit.

Is there anyone running a light bar in the same spot but behind the grill for a more hidden look?

You would need to get brackets fabricated to do that, but it shouldn't affect the light much. It'll narrow the light spread vertically a bit for sure being behind the grille. I have one behind the hood bulge grille and still get good output from it so the bottom grille won't affect the light output much.

This is my 2nd one. The 1st got moisture in it. I contacted rc, they told me a couple of things to try and get the moisture out, but it didn't work. I contacted them again and explained that the moisture was still there and it actually got worse. They then sent me another light and a return label for the defective light. Zero problems with the 2nd light. It has been on my truck for over a year now.
