hey guys looking into a lift kit for my truck, wanting to do a 5" suspension lift. Any tips for doing one/where to buy? Looking into the tuff country 5" lift. Post pictures of your 1st Gen double cab on 5" lift would be great

    6" RCD lift
I'd pay a little more and get a RCD 6" lift. A few of us on here has that kit. IMO it's a better and more complete kit compared to the tuff country kit.

Yeah I'm interested in the RCD as well,
just concerned about upgrading to 35"s or 37" tires and needing to regear the 3rd member. Anyone have a similar set up with out re-gearing?
Running a lvl kit now with 33" and slight rubbing during sharp turns

I ran 35's for about a week before I re-geared and I have to gas it more for the truck to go from a stop. It's very slow off the line or if I'm going on a incline but once I'm on highway where it's flat is seems normal. If you're upgrading to 35 or 37 you'll need to re-gear.

Some will disagree with me but..... No matter which lift you go with, tuff country 5" or RCD 6"add a 3" body lift at the same time.

You will have to re-gear, no getting around it.

5" tuff country lift and 3" body lift. 35" tires

how did the body lift not effect your front bumper and grill separate like body lifts usually do?
