Recently, if I put the truck into gear too quickly it will not engage. Example: I put the truck in reverse this morning and it stayed in Neutral although it was on "R" on both the console and the dash. Any ideas, anyone face similar issue? If so, what was done? Thanks

Does reverse work at all? I lost reverse when my transmission died.

Yes, I've only had a couple of subtle slips but handwriting is on the wall. What corrective action did you take and were you satisfied with that and would you take a different course of action knowing what you know now?

I got mine with 160k. About 162k I dropped the trans oil pan, replaced the filter & through the cooler replaced 6 quarts (to correct fill at the stated temp.) About 179k it started misbehaving, at 182 I lost reverse & replaced it with an 80k transmission from LKQ.
