Replaced my 2013 Platinum CrewMax 4x4 with a 2014 1794 2x4, CPO, selling Toyota Dealer installed trifold Extang 2.0. I am moving and all my possessions are wet 17 days after purchase. Can this by fixed under the accessory’s warranty or am I going to have to ask them to replace it with a one piece bed cover like the Undercover that I had on previous Tundra?

I’m looking to get something different than my Extang 2.0 (factory installed) on my 2018 CrewMax. I liked the BakFlip I had on my Honda.

My 2 month old extang 2.0 also leaks but from what i've heard, all foldable covers will leak to a varying degree. I even added the tailgate seal thinking that water was getting in there but its not. Mine leaks on the left side of the aft hinge. Still not decided if I will warranty it since we're just starting to get into the rainy season. Will give it a couple of months and through the snow season to decide

My Diamondback does not leak at all. And I also put my Dad’s quad on top of it last week.

anything fold-able will leak , Unless it's one piece cap like cover or diamond back they all get some water in them .....

    That’s the difference between a 800 cover and a 1600 cover.

Three year warranty on the Extang.

Make sure you have your receipt and serial number. Extang will make you field destroy- send pics and they’ll send a new one

None yet but plenty to come.
Pics will be vital to see if Extang will do anything...very well could be the truck box itself leaking. Water likes to get under the plastic bed cap too

If I can chime in, I just went through this process. Was leaking quite a bit. I knew going into a trifold that they would always leak a little. I sent pics to Extang and they sent me a brand new one. We’ll see if there’s any improvement. I’m not terribly worried about it as I just bought it for security purposes. But it is kind of annoying that they leak as much as they do.

I did wind up field destroying mine (super tiny holes), if anyone wants to drive the Charlotte, they can have it lol.

They are pretty good about it. It’s been raining here and I haven’t driven her since Saturday so I’ll check for leaks when I get home.

I did notice that the rubber channel on the edge of tonneau is channels now so water doesn’t drain inside - it stays out

Yea their customer service was a really good experience, didn’t expect to get a new cover so fast. I felt like the one I had was pretty good, so I hated to put the holes in it lol. They’re good quality though!

Well. I need to find my receipt. Mine leaks really, really bad!
In the mean time, I just ordered a color matched SnugTop. Should have stayed with what I know will work the best. Tried to save money and paid the price.

My 2.0 is leaking worse with time. ( a little over a year old) Mine was a warranty replacement I bought new in the box on craigslist. Extang told me there is nothing they can do because I am not the original owner. I have considered buying new seals. And even a different tonneau, and selling this one to someone local on the cheap ( full disclosure of course) Not sure but disappointed.

I took it off this morning. Cleaned all of the seals and reinstalled it. I really think it is because the bed rails are not flat and smooth, that water finds its way in. No so sure its a tonneau manufacturer problem and really a Toyota issue

Called Extang back, sent video of the leak and photos. They agreed to send a new cab seal and hinge seals as a courtesy

Still a minor leak on the extang but enough that I am willing to try something else. actually looking at a vinyl trip fold. reviews on them show they are less prone to leak . Looking at the Tyger and the Tonno Pro

I bought the Extang Soft Tri-Fold 2.0 about a month ago. I keep getting pools of water on each side of the bed near the tail gate. I tried moving the cover onto the tailgate but then it doesn’t seal near the cab at all.
    Any ideas?

    I have the
Exact same cover and I've had it on my truck for 6 months now and no issues with leaking. Even going through the car wash. The difference is the cover sits on top of the bed rails instead of laying flat next to them. I love the cover.

No leaks on my TonnoPro either. Even when I pressure wash the cover around the edges. Great cover that you can get sub $200.
