So I saw one other thread poster who had the same issue as me but he was ultimately unanswered. Removing the high and low beams were simple--I turned them counter clockwise--but there seems to be another "harness" on both right and left headlight assemblies that I have no idea what it does. Furthermore, I can't find a single video about the facet in question.

Input would be very much appreciated.

That harness is for your headlight leveler motor. The leveler moves the headlight beam up or down to adjust for a load in the bed or on the hitch. The level adjuster is the dial next to your cargo light switch, left of the steering column.

I'm replacing my headlight assemblies and have the same issue with the headlight leveler motor. My new assemblies do not appear to have that. What did you do?
