:D Good one. I'm too cheap to pay for Prime so Amazon ships my stuff whenever they feel like it. It won't arrive until Tuesday.

Amazon will give you free shipping on any order over $35, you just have to be patient. :)

Maybe they designed the joint to flush out, the mention of grease hints at that.

I just watch the boot and stop when it starts to plump up. I've only done it once since I run 7.5-10k between oil changes and 2 was all it took.

It should be due next week for the next change so we'll see if it holds.

Well the truck runs great. My only concern is that it's running hotter than normal and if anything the URD 170°F thermostat should be just that right? It used to run 184-186°F and now it's going into the 190's

air bubble? set the heat on high.
I had an bubble in my system, lukewarm heat all winter, passed it the following summer - sudden drop in rad fluid, heat suddenly back to 'inferno'. That car just had an idiot light, so..

You had a new thermostat installed?

Edit: Went back and read all the stuff you had done. Maybe an air bubble like NutRat says?

Did you do one of the oddball thermostats like you brought up a while back?

Yours too? Mine was high and then I drilled a hole in the bottom and drained it. It just stays misty anyway. I need to replace the damn thing because my bottom blinker bulb keeps frying.

I think that's your problem. I think my truck has run cooler since I replaced my radiator and thermostat in April. It shouldn't be running hotter.

I know new is cheap, but since you've drilled it anyway.. Why not try to seal it up for S's & G's. Can only be gasket around the bulb or a crack along the edge of the lens. See if you can figure out where they go bad, & let us know.

Yeah that's why I thinking it's in the wrong position. URD it well known.and revered among the Tacoma, 4runner and fjc. communities seems they don't offer near as much for 1st gen tundras. But they are a reputable source for performance parts

It said 4.7 on it. So at this time I'm going with air bubble or installed upside down.

Go drive up an incline and idle for a few minutes to work that bubble out. I know when I did my Pink Coolant Conversion that it took about a days driving to stabilize the proper level in the reservoir. It wasn’t until I drove on an inclined driveway and idled til the final air trap escaped. I was monitoring the res levels after each drive and could see when more needed to be added.

Now the fluid sits at F line when at operating temp.

I think it's the housing to lense bond that's givin up. My fiberglass fender fits the marker light assembly tightly so I think it just pried the lense off. Just need to get a new one and make some clearance on the mount I guess. Then again the dry months are here haha!

Whoa! You are doing the right thing by taking it back. Make the top mechanic at the shop sign off on the redo of the dodo lack of attention.

just ordered one of these. Anyone have any experience with them? im curious as to how it will fit and sound. I have some holes in my muffler and it sounds awful. I am not convinced that the noise im hearing isn't part of a exhaust manifold leak, but my mechanics think its the muffler...they did a dry ice test, so Im gonna see if this will fix it. Wanted a new one anyway so fingers crossed. Flowmaster 52571 70 Series Muffler - 2.50 Offset IN / 2.50 Center OUT - Mild Sound

Well I got my new leafs with Icon AAL's and Icon shocks on last night. It was a major bitch! Had to cut the drivers side shock off top and bottom and the top of the passengers side. These were original from when I bought the truck new in 06. Anyways, I had a passenger side lean and it was about an 1" lower from center of hub to bottom side of flare. Now it is only about 1/2”. I suspect that the front passenger side is the cause of this but I'll know for certain in a couple of weeks when I get the Icon CO's on and adjusted. I am going to add a 1/4” shim on the driver's side CO to help with the known driver's side lean so I don't have to add additional pre-load to get each side to be leveled. The ride is now night and day difference, super plush and very very quiet compared to the old leafs, 1" block and original TRD bilstein's. Pretty happy with the outcome.

Yeah I was.pissed.when I got it.the truck at night and the headlights.didnt come on. I popped the hood to check fuses and saw the loose bolt. That stuff plus the high coolant temp and today I noticed the reservoir.was almost empty.
My family.has given this shop our business for decades. They will make.it.right monday

Hahaha. Not much to really see. Looks like stock at this point. Slightly less rake than stock. Bilstein's set at 3rd notch. I'll get a picture when I have the icons CO's and Camburgs on.
