Finally after a long time of research I bought a 2017 Tundra last month and absolutely love it. Anything I should know about them other then obvious things like oil changes and regular maintenance I'm great at. Just looking for some tips with detailing to keep it nice and any mechanical issues people have ran into.

    What up homie!

I don't know sht about detailing, I hose mine off once a year haha

As for mechanical, off the top of my head, there are a couple minor ones to watch out for. The steering rack can blow. Supposedly Toyota fixed this on the newer trucks, but I'm not entirely sure. Its not a big deal, $800 part and about 6 hr job to replace with two guys. The AIP can also be an issue, there are work arounds for that as well. Check you water pump for leaks, the seal goes out after about 60k. I have 70k on mine and looks good. The cam towers (valve covers) are known to leak oil. Thats kind of a big job, happened to me twice but fixed under warranty both times.

Other than that its a solid truck. Most reliable truck you can get at the moment. Myself and my friends beat on ours hard AF and they just keep running.
