Its just from Walmart my man. Nothing special. The same isle has some smaller tubs for organizing that fit nicely together along the bottom with lids. Then, in the same isle, found a drop in tray to fit across those tubs.

I intentionally got myself into a position to rely on the sliders. Came off the front tire and the whole weight of the truck went down on the slider. No issue. I was able to test it at Black Gap and some places in the State Park, but overall Big Bend doesnt offer a ton of true tests and rock crawling.

That said, Im still concerned given the reports above, but maybe a bit less so. Maybe InfernoPro got a set for an FJ or Jeep or something idk. My guess is that he is just more hardcore parkour than I am with my truck at this point and Ill find out in the future.

That’s really good to know I’m in driving distance of bamf and they have the pelfreybilt sliders for a good price a few hundred more then yours but I still need to put plates on top for the wife to get in. I’m kinda torn not sure what direction to go now lol. How’s your ground clearnece ? I won’t be doing crazy or rock crawling just fire roads and hunting trails

Should consider this dash mount by ICS, gonna use it to mount a "real" off-grid gps...as I have the Halo9 as well. Can't really rely on a cell based Nav

Well I did some things to the truck. The next few weeks will be busy with new mods. Black Friday/Cyber Monday was rough...
    :spending:

I feel like initially I went a little too far in the #lightbarsbeforelockers direction, so the majority of the upcoming mods are geared toward performance upgrades that are long overdue.

    Upcoming (Purchased and Shipping):
    - Magnuson Supercharger
    - Nitro 4.88's regear / ARB Rear Locker
    - RKS functional scoop hood
    - Wilco Tiregate Vertical Mount
    - Transfer Flow 46 Gallon Midship Fuel Tank

I took the truck to my brothers garage and we went to work installing the Transfer Flow 46 Gallon Midship Fuel Tank.

    Dropping the OEM tank

    20191213_164127.jpg

Here it is in all its pathetic'ness. I dont know how this POS made it on to our trucks

    20191213_164609.jpg

While my bro dropped the OEM tank, I prepared the Transfer Flow.

    20191213_172408.jpg

This is a two man job. It took the both of us, with the help of a floor jack to position and connect the Transfer Flow.

I put 20 gallons in to get home, and it didnt even reach half a tank. 20 gallons would have registered a full tank on the OEM.

    20191213_192342.jpg

    Dog and Nephew tax

    20191213_165531.jpg

    More to come...soon.

    Welcome to DFW!!
Look up Tandem Off-road, they are a solid shop from what I have heard.
I haven't used their services, but have never heard anything bad out of folks that have.

Heres a little sneak peak I put together in MS Paint to accurately represent my new hood. Apparently I get to pick up the RKS hood tomorrow.

Damn the winter, I go in before light and get home after dark, but I was finally able to get home just before dark and snap some pics of my new RK Sporthood.

    Edit:

Seems the internet is having trouble with photo uploads currently. There were about 5 more pictures. Oh well. Ill try to figure it out later.

Do they not recommend hood pins for fiberglass hoods?

I dont know if there is a right answer to that question. I know that generally fiberglass hoods are recommended to be pinned. But I had this professionally installed, the guys says it depends. Depends on the quality of the hood. He said this is a quality hood and the latch is metal not fiberglass so he said he personally wouldn't do hood pins, but I'd love to hear others thoughts? I've seen some other RK Sporthoods around here without pins as well.

I like it either way, it's a good looking hood and really changes the front of the truck.

I ran into the same issue when looking for mine. I picked mine up from LM Performance as I found it on sale. I paid $790 for mine. Looks like its listed for $840 right now.

Here it is, it's from Alpine. Goes along with my Alpine Halo headunit. The headunit has an accessory that controls the cameras multiview selector. And sorry, no install pics of that specific bit. I just put it on the front, aimed it down a bit and ran the wire back to the headunit. Plug and play at the headunit. Probably wouldn't be as easy if you weren't using the same headunit.

Have you received an ETA on your Wilco Tiregate? I just placed an order for the same. Just curious what the wait time is going to be. I plan to email Wilco and ask but thought I might hear back from you sooner.

I got the last one. I have it now in my garage. They called and asked me if I wanted it because it had a minor defect, a dent, but it's on the inside part and very small, so I said I'd take it. The alternative he said, was to wait 4 weeks. This was 2 weeks ago. I'm 14 days on at work right now and haven't had any down time to get the Tire swing off and replace it with the Tiregate.

I appreciate it. 4 weeks isn’t too bad. Keep the posts coming as you get time. I’ve enjoyed watching your build.
