I inherited some things recently when an uncle in law (is that a thing?) moved. He gave me some good stuff like a recliner, a really nice TV stand, laundry machines, a few older Harmon Kardon receivers, and this... very odd framed print. It is numbered and signed, and has an embossed mark reading "Gregory Editions". Looks like some heavily drug inspired office art work from the early 80s. I'm guessing the mid-coke, pre-aids era. I didn't have the heart to say I don't want that shit, so I took it.

Now I'm curious if it can be identified before I donate it to goodwill. I looked up the Gregory Editions clue and they have an art website but aren't displaying this. I can't make out the signature. I emailed the website but the mail failed.

The more I look at it the more I wish i had some serious weed and a Pink Floyd album to play. Anybody wanna admit knowing what this thing is? Or better yet, wanna name it?

Dang!!! I know absolutely nothing about that piece but it's very cool. I'd hang that bad boy prominently in my soon to be "listening" room (see my empty nesters thread).

Man that's a cool print. Love that 1980's modernism/contemporary/pastel look, but my place is so stuck in 1960's/70's wood tones with the kitchen I went full hog and bought a bunch of vintage 1960's post modern furniture. My house looks like a set off of Mad Men lol.

Dude. This is pretty cool. Weird, kinda cool.

Don't get trapped though. Buy your house, hang it on the wall. If you don't actually love it, sell it.

I get bogged down by *stuff*. If you can avoid doing, do.

Maybe. I have one Harmon and a Kenwood, not sure the age but from the lack of HDMI I would guess they're 15 years old. They didnt have the remotes.

I second @Sunnier , hang it and see how you feel after a month

Haha no worries! I only use mine for two speakers, so if you end up not needing one and want to sell it shoot me a pm :)

Sorry for the mini hijack. Back to talk about the rad painting!

No worries man. To be honest I have a reciever for the living room, one for my future fish room, and one for my garage. I don't really need a fourth and I'm in San Diego at least one weekend per month, I can probably part with one of these.

Stuff :annoyed: that's the story of my life. We have too much stuff! It is cool, but what are the prices that it has "sold" for. I have a vintage pet rock that I will let go for $100. Doesn't mean I'll get it. Ask a local art gallery if they will sell it for ya. Hey, fifty bucks is fifty bucks. I have some 60's paneling if ya want it. Been cutting it up and burning it.

That's true, it's only worth what one will pay for it.

I remember learning that Van Gogh used to give a landlord paintings when he was short on rent, and the landlords son would use them as target practice. Don't know if it's true but if so I bet their family is pissed.

Take to Vegas, "Pawn Stars" shop, present the above info, let them verify, offer you like $200, maybe get on TV, then go put it all on Black.....

Or just keep it. Kind of cool.
