Trying to decide if I’m too ocd. Just picked up my brand new ride about a week ago. The service manager offered to have me come by and he will look at these areas if I’d like. Would you have these places touched up/fixed or leave it be.

There’s a bubble in the paint protection film where dirt is all under it, a long scratch in the dash and plastic speaker cover, tear in one door sill plate, and a strange area in the plastic near where you put the key in the ignition. Anyway, I know I’m a bit cautious since it’s a brand new truck, but wondered what you all would want fixed/not fixed. Thanks! Love these forums

I'd have them fix it all. At the very least the film protection piece. I wouldn't want dirt under there touching paint. Eventually it will ruin it.

It would definitely drive me crazy, especially that film protection piece and the door sill plate. The dash/interior pieces scratch easily, I was pissed I scratched near my inside handle like the first week.

I’d have them fix all of it but at the very least those two items.

All of them would bother me except the one around the wiper arm on the column. I could live with that one.

I agree. Took it up there. They are going to have an interior guy try to touch up the dash and speaker cover to look new.
They are replacing the protection film although he said it’s not placed at the factory originally and probably was placed at the dealership (it was a dealer trade they got for me since I wanted white). They are replacing the plastic steering wheel cover and the door sill plate as well.

Thanks for everyone’s input. I really appreciate it

Yep. If I pay $40-$60k+ for a new truck it should look like, well, new.

Sounds like you have a pretty good dealership to it put up a fight to fix these issues. That's great to hear now and then. Too many complaints about shitty dealership experiences, this one sounds good so far. Keep us updated on the repairs.

I would have refused delivery on that truck, especially that dash scratch, you look at the dash all the time.
