It can be hereditary. Some folks are more prone to it.

None....yet few decals and a five star dragon Ball. Lift 4.5" in two years is the plan
Va sucks but the stones take years to work themselves out. I ha e 3 more to go and that's why when a friend of mine lost his kidneys to cancer I offered him mine under the condition he took the one with the stones. LOL

Hope you are feeling better after passing that mfer! My father in law spent the first cpl months of 2019 in and out of the hospital dealing with kidney stones. Had a 9mm and a 12..had to have a stent put in and the stones lazed so he could pass them. He said "I would rather try and jack off a bobcat in a phone booth with a hand full of sand than pass another kidney stone!" ...and from the look in his eyes..I believe him.

I think it's a poor diet for most folks. Most here have admitted to drinking a ton of sugary junk. That's bad for a whole host of reasons.

I agree. My in laws eat out daily, drink soda and don't get near enough exercise. You rest, you rust as my dad used to say.

Yep, that and not enough water. The one thing in common most people I know with kidney stones have is they "hydrate" with anything but water. Lots of soda, juice, coffee (with sugar), iced tea, beer etc. Very few of them drink water on a regular basis.

What's more amazing are the people who admit this and continue to drink soda and get kidney stones. Maybe.You.Should.Stop.Putting.Junk.In.Your.Body.

If I get bored of water I drink this. Some of these flavors are really good. It's just carbonated water and some natural flavors. Zero calories.Zero sugar.

These Mio flavorings are good too. Just a squirt and it's almost juice like.

Bingo. As a nation we eat pure junk food. The average American eats 3 meals of junk food per day.

Drinking all the water in the world will not save you from a crap diet.

Water is only boring when you drink all the sugar drinks often. If you go 6 months with no sugar drinks, water will start tasting better. But it isn’t a lack of water causing kidney stones. All the tea, soda, juice, and other beverages are filled with water. It’s all the garbage processed sugar in them that is causing the problems. Drinking extra water won’t help unless you cut the garbage

It's pretty much a crap shoot from what my urologist says, some hereditary, some diet.

I didn't have problems until 2 years or so after I dropped weight and started eating better. Pretty much drink nothing besides black coffee, water, and weekend beers anymore. First one was IIRC 3.5 next one was 5, both were awful.

My Mom just passed her 3rd a week ago and sent me this. Apparently the dime is a universal size indicator  5mmx3mm
