Same here. The cloth seats are horrible in my 18 Tundra. If snow or rain get on the seats it would leave a stain.

Cloth in my Tacoma was like that. Even if a water bottle sweat a little that sweat would cause stains. I covered the seats with clazzio leather covers eventually

Leather covers were my plan this summer along with a few other mods till my AC unit took a shit. Was $3,000 to replace. Hopefully next year.

That’s what my passenger seat looks like after my wife rides with me.

Kidding aside, it’s probably just product that didn’t get wiped off well. You may be able to just go back over it with the same stuff.

And I'll try the wet microfiber first, then hit it with more cleaner tomorrow if that doesnt do it.

A similar kit is 40.00 at Walmart. It looks like it has a little bit less, but it’s on the shelf there.

    https://www.walmart.com/ip/Chemical...MIztOLvqO-4gIVUp7ACh3BxQvIEAQYASABEgKPQvD_BwE

I haven’t used any of that stuff except the bucket and towels. I have heard mixed reviews on the Diablo Wheel Cleaner.

That's a decent kit, especially if you got it during their recent sale.....it came to about 64.00. Diablo will serve you well.....it's okay if your wheels are not super dirty or caked with brake dust. Pick up some cheap microfibers at WalMart so you have something to actually wash your wheels with. If you're going with a single wash mitt, you'll need another bucket (rinse bucket) to rinse the mitt off. Don't over think it....a 5.00 bucket from Lowe's or Home Depot will be fine. Be advised - it only gets worse and more expensive from here on out

I’m sorry, I missed this. Didn’t you clay your truck this year? I know we talked about it, but don’t remember if you did. If you did, then you shouldn’t need to. Claying is necessary at most once a year. I’d recommend using a paint preparation like Carpro Eraser or something similar to get whatever you already have on there off. You’ll want to get the paint as clean and chemical free as possible before adding this.

If you haven’t clayed yet, then yes, I’d recommend you do it. Decontaminating the paint will improve the look of it immensely. Using an iron remover before claying will make it a lot easier also. Carpro IronX and Optimum Ferrex both work very well. About 19.00 on Amazon.

As for applicators, I use these almost exclusively and I’m happy with them:

Got it thanks. Not clayed yet, took the lazy approach instead just learning how to (1 or 2 bucket) wash it.. so far besides citrus, have only used the honeydew foam wash/Jescar pl. Still decent visual and plastic bag test results so haven't required correction yet. After 4 washes and 2-3 rinses the only issue is the pollen attraction I can certainly live with. Not certain if this is related to the color or Jescar but awaiting a strong wind/rain to get the pollen out, we have tons and pine needles as well. I got Iron-x and Nanoskin mitt stand by on the shelf so once I get the applicators should be ready to make a quasi decent decontamination run. Far enjoyable hobby than weed mowing.

I don’t think the products have any affect on the pollen. All of mine collect it like crazy, no matter what they are sealed with.
Sounds like you’re pretty set with a good wash regimen and products. Powerlock is one of the more labor intensive sealants to use, but it sure makes MGM pop, don’t you think? Is it still heading up well?

Like I said, if you decide to move forward with the coating that @Pudge posted, I’d definitely recommend doing the decon. It’ll help the bonding process immensely and give you the best shot at long term longevity.

Hey, i'm just catching up on this BugOut product. From reading on the CarPro site, do i apply this BEFORE i wash or after i wash?? I think you apply after the wash, let it set up, then wipe off but wanted someone to clarify.

Is this still the best product for hard core bug splatter or should i consider something else?

I work at Costco and we sell awesome microfiber rags for real cheap! Also I have the diablo already and use a MF Cloth on the wheels. I do have 2 small buckets maybe like 2 gallons so I’ll use 1 as a rinse bucket? Is that what you’re saying?

You want to use this prior to washing. Spray and let sit for a bit (30 seconds up to 2 minutes) then wipe off. I personally haven't found anything that works better. CarPro makes great products.

What is the advantage to a foam cannon? I have the cheap on from Amazon, but do you spray, then wipe, then rinse? Or just spray and rinse?

I just use a foam gun hooked up to my garden hose. I rise my truck first, hit it with the gun to get a bunch of suds going, then use the 2 bucket wash, then rinse.

Mostly it’s just more fun, but it is really handy when you have a good bit of mud and dirt caked on. Spray it on and let it soak for a while, then rinse. It’ll get most of it off before you start washing with a towel.

I have a cheapo too and I like it. The advantage is that when you foam the truck the soap lubricates and lifts off a good bit of the dirt. It allows for a some dirt removal without risking any scratches from wash mitts or towels. Just foam, let it sit for a little while and then rinse off.
Then you can move on to your normal wash routine. sometimes I will foam, rinse, then foam each section as I go around with the wash mitt, it's a good way to add more soap and lubricity.
Yesterday I had just a a pretty clean truck from a good washing I did onFriday, but I had a ton of bug guts from a 2 hour night drive and also it was covered in pollen again. I decided to do a quick wash, i foamed it, used a towel to wipe the bugs off the front end, then rinsed and dried and it came out great. The foam really helped loosen up the bugs.
I'd imagine you could also use the foam as a clay lubricant which. Would make that process a little easier

Yes...one would be a rinse bucket. There are tons of Youtube videos showing the two bucket method. Pick yourself up an inexpensive set of detail brushes (link below), to help you with the smaller areas on your wheels (lug nut area) that are harder to reach.

Worth the research and test run, thanks for the additional ideas Sean. I see where the full decon and 50/50 IPA fits in the equation. I think will pick up a few microsuede minis as well.
