I have a box of over 300 DVDs collecting dust and taking up space. Any ideas of getting rid of them? Donating? Not sure what to do. Thanks

Donating would be a great idea. Not everyone watches Blu Ray. I have a bunch too, but will hang onto my favs just in case

I'm sad you're not closer. I'd drive right over if were closer, buy or trade.

But yeah, not many out there like me that insist on possessing what I own. I haven't kept too many DVD's (there are only a few movies I'm sure I'll want to see repeatedly), but I love my CD collection... and my albums... :). I can't figure out why everyone is okay "buying music (or movies) on Amazon when, if you give up your subscription, you can't watch anything you "bought" again. Does no one think of this, or just accept that, in this era, own = have limited access to-?

I've been trying to find a place to donate them. Calling the salvation army store we have locally Tuesday.

@Sunnier if there's any you can think of I'll look to see if I have them. I have most of them copied on a hard drive. But I haven't touched them in years.

I also have 3 CD binders that hold close to 300 of ones I copied.

Hmmn, the CD's are tempting, but I can't think of many movies worth shipping across the country. That said, anything currently $17.99 on Amazon would be worth it.

You looking for a home for those CD's? If so, I like all types of music, but would get most out of country; 70-80's rock and southern rock (some call that country too); maybe some of the early "rap"... the stuff in the 80's that laid foundation for rap... like "White Lines" and early Eminem. If there's a fair amount of any of this, I'd pay shipping, if you want to part with it. I'd keep what I like, donate the rest and send you the donation receipt for your taxes....

Yeah, that's cool. I'm going to try to get them all out tomorrow, see what I got. I still have DVDs shrink wrapped.

Send them in a care package to deployed military. I always loved getting random care packages.
