My new 19 has the OEM spray on liner. I’d like to install D-Rings under the bed bolts, but they’re all covered with spray liner? Is there a prescribed way to get it off the bed bolts so I can R/R?

Yep, cut around the bottom of the head of the bolt with a utility knife and the liner should peel right off.

Leitner ACS rack & storage, blackout grille replacement, Decked storage, Prinsu roof rack, this is just the beginning…
I tried a few different techniques and whatever bedliner the dealership sprayed on, it definitely didn’t just flake off with a chisel. But this is what I did that ended up being pretty quick and easy to remove the T40 bolts:
    1) use a heat gun on the bolts until you can tail that the coding has become soft and almost starts to bubble.

    2) I used a T30 and gently tapped it in with a hammer. You have to rotate it around a bit but if you have heated the code into the point where it’s soft, you’ll feel when it sinks into the bolt’s grooves.

    3) Remove the T30, soften it up again with the heat gun, and find the alignment from the T30 and do the same thing to tap in the correct T40 size. Without removing the T40, attach a socket wrench and carefully remove the bolt.

    4) I then had to soak the bolts overnight in isopropyl alcohol (or paint thinner) to get the coating off.

As long as you don’t go apeshit with the hammer, you can avoid damaging the bolts.
