Damn, how long ago was that? I just picked one up for $385 shipped from eBay. Everyone wanted to charge $100+ for just shipping.

Yep that’s 1/4” aluminum for most of their skids. Silly to say that this isn’t adequate for serious off-roading. Skids aren’t supposed to stay pretty, they’re supposed to be protecting stuff above em. The plastic skids are best. It’s not cutting board plastic but slicker, and they will really slide over stuff well. Plus you can flex bends in the leading edge.
They were way too expensive for me to get when I priced the plastic. Try Harrington Plastics , downtown Phoenix, if you’re interested. I’ve only used small pieces for saw and router guides, doing wood work.

That was about 3 years ago. I picked it up in person and wasn’t hit with an extra shipping charge. Did have to pay sales tax, though, but don’t remember how much more it was. Had mine cost as much as you’re being quoted now, I’d consider aftermarket.

Just got the notification that my P&P front skid shipped!! I'm super excited.
I'm going to slowly work my way back from there and I assume the Transmission is next (the REAR of the tranny skid uses the same U-bolts as the FRONT of the Transfer case skid)

So here is my question: Is the pic below the Transmission or Transfer Case skid?
You have the same pics on both product pages...

Sorry bout that. Didn’t realize we had duplicate pics up.

The aluminum skid shown is the transfer case skid and the steel skid is the transmission. They mount overlapping on the same crossmember using u-bolts around the cross member.

Does anyone have a Victory 4x4 skid plate on their truck? Bud Built states not in stock. So between RCI, TRD, and Victory what’s the best choice?

I've purchased the Victory Skid, which will be installed mid June -- I also have their sliders, bed rack, front bumper, differential skid, and soon to gain along with the front skid, their gas tank and roof rack and control arm skid.

Always great to deal with. I go through Corey there, but Mitch and Shiloh are both amazing. I just like to keep all my business in one lap to keep it easier and @brimy311 is super approachable.

Oh also, my buddy has his Tacoma loaded up with Victory as well. So we're a bit of fan boys but they earned our business over the past months of dealing with them.

We recently released ours and the first customers orders were just reaching shipping this week. So you won’t see much feedback.

Our steel skids are 3/16” thick. Real skid plates, not BS 1/8” crap. The aluminum offerings are 1/4”. Our gas tank skid also has no bolts hanging down!

You have my personal guarantee that they are a great product! We also have 15% off until 5/31 with coupon code IntroPricing.

If you have any questions, please let me know!

Have had all skids on the trucks for a bit now and it's awesome. It's fully victory under me so it all works well together. Can't speak towards mixing brands.

However, it's quiet and when I've had to go over the odd rock, I did so confidently.

I think it's best not to mix brands at the engine and tranny, should not make a difference at the gas tank. ;)
