    Morning everyone,

I have a quick question. The dealer I purchased the truck from a few weeks back owes me a spray-on bed liner (long story). I recently purchased the bed rail track system and installed it. The service department is telling me to leave it on when I bring in for the spray-on work.

Does that sound right? What about the space above the track on sides? Not much there with regards to surface area but I want the spray-on to go all the way up the sides...

    Any info is appreciated.

I have the factory bed liner and it does not go all the way up above rails. I’m sure there must be a reason they do it that way but I’m not sure what it is.

To me no, unless they are going to remove it for you. I wouldn't trust them to mask it off. Take it off and let them do the liner. My liner goes all the way up to under the rail, how they do that with the rail installed would be a mystery.

Factory liner, is it really done at the factory or dealer?

My understanding is that there are some done from the factory and they are different (have Tundra stamped in them) than aftermarket versions. I doubt it’s actually done at the factory but probably happens somewhere between the factory and the dealership. There were some at my dealership that were aftermarket and didn’t have Tundra stamped in them. It’s a nice look

That makes sense, mine doesn't look like "dealer" install although i'm sure my dealer would do a good job. I guess the window sticker would tell us where it was done?

Tundra stamped in the bedliner...never seen that. Anyone got that post it please.

I'm leaning towards removing them and then installing the track back. Hopefully cleaning the threads out won't be a pain.

I've seen liner jobs where the bed mounting bolts were removed and reinstalled so no, should not be a problem.

    I feel...cheated.

So now I think my liner was done at the dealer.

Just put the bolts back in the holes so any spray does not get in the hole

That looks awesome, but I'm not too concerned with getting a Tundra logo in the bed.

My bed will be covered at some point so I wouldn't get to see it outside of removing the cover.

I thought about that too, but my luck they would remove them and then my bolts would be lost.

Tell them to leave the bolts alone, you're the customer. If they lose them they can replace them. Get REDNECK...but only if you have to.

I used the same shop the dealer uses, but after the fact. They removed all bolts and tracks before spraying and reinstalled them after wards. They block the holes while spraying.

I found one locally on craiglist that was gently used. Paid $80. Looked brand new. Guy was parting out tundra to buy a new one. They go for $150-$200 on several websites. Good Luck!
