Yeah no doubt. By the time you get tools and spare tire out. We’re not pit crew status out there.

It's probably more like an hour realistically from the time you get your tools out to finish.

    Jack up truck.
    Remove tire.
    Remove dust cap.
    Remove axle nut.
    Unbolt two LCA-to-spindle bolts.
    Pull spindle away from axle.
Swing spindle out of way with bungee cord or ratchet strap.
    Pull axle out.
Insert new axle and reverse all the other steps.

Yeah its really not that hard. I've done it several time now.

I don't have the IG followers to influence a group buy like that, but if you organize one I'm in

Well you can time me when I do yours...

Seriously though, I'll bet you a beer I can do it in under 30 min. But trail side I will take my time of course and not rush

@roypark park is my witness. Two flats at Big bear. I timed myself. From everything packed, took 25 min to get the tires/gear/tools out, remove/replace both tires, pack everything back up, to being ready to run.

All my gear/tools are easily accessible. Thats the key. The last I want to do is have a hard time with tools and gear when I have a problem on the trail.

Gawd damn... I feel like just biting the bullet on and moving back to SoCal just to wheel with you guys. I'm hittin the trails this weekend and all i have to look forward to is sand, mosquitoes, humidity and bushes. People here are great, but the trails, not so much.

I'm originally from LA. I'll be moving back towards that direction in about 8 months. Gotta finish up some commitments here. Not going to make it all the way back to CA though. It's too expensive and living in a free state has changed me. I will be close enough to spend some weekends out there though. Hope to roll with some of you in the future. I'll definitely be going to T2S soon. I hope I can make it next year. No mods yet, due to saving for another move across the country though. First one was rough. We messed up and ended up with 6k of cc debt. Not wanting to be in that situation again.

I'll give it a shot and ask. But we'd need at least a solid 5 committed to buying a pair I'm sure. 10 ideally because that would look more appealing to them. So..

RCV is in my hometown back in IL. Pretty sure I went to school with the owners kids.

Anyone know if these will fit with Icon 3.0 coilovers? Talked with RCV and they were unsure. Said it might be close but haven't seen any with this setup.
They also said if I wanted to install them to find out - if they do make contact - send them back for a full refund. Can't ask for much more than that.

I don’t think they’ll work. The cv joint and axle are bigger on the RCV axles.
I tried them with my 2.5 LT coilovers that had the 3.75”id springs that come on 3.0 coilovers. The axle made contact with the spring. I had to switch to 3.0”id springs so the RCV axles would clear.
Sounds like RCV is giving you a no risk option to try them out though.

Bummer. Ok. Thanks for the info. Much appreciated! Looks like I might be going with some sdhq boots then. Replaced the inner about 8k ago and now the outer is slinging grease.
