I just missed 19.1 MPG, it dropped as I slowed down to pull into the parking lot at work.

I get this and higher regularly. Our trucks are very capable of doing so.

I was showing 20 on the way back from Maryland last week. Should have taken a photo. I was running on second tank of Costco 93 oct.

This was getting home from Altanta the other week.

I'm finding that setting the cruise right at 69-70 gets best mileage.

My Fuelly profile shows my average going up. I'll go back down, no road trips in the near future.

I too was surprised when my new Tundra got that kind of mileage on my drive home from work. Didn't really baby it and probably averaged 70mph.

When it comes to gas mileage, I guess I messed up. I tell you what. If you guys want to get 10 or 11 mpg like me,:frusty:, just put a 6" lift and 35's. Ok i can still get 13 on the hiway.

Your running stock size tires I assume? I was getting 17.5 until I put on 33”. Now I get 16.1 if I baby the throttle.

Attaboy! Interesting that your hand calculation is higher than the trucks read out. Are you resetting the trucks read out every time you fuel up? Or is that an over time average?

Exactly! I thought the numbers would be the other way around. It is an over time average. I just got the TRD Exhaust installed and have thought about resetting so I can know what that AND the TRD air filter are doing for me combined. Also, I drive like a grandpa when I can. Can't really complain about these trucks!!!!

Does Fuelly count? I'm seeing tank average a bit lower than what fuelly counts.

So interesting thing about my truck it just hit the 10k mark and I had the second oil change done on it. I am not sure which of those things did it but I hand calculated a 16.8 mpgs on my last fill up which was yesterday with the truck computer saying I averaged 16.2. I always reset my thing every fill up. What makes this interesting is before 10k and my second oil change I was only getting about low 15s and now that I think about it ever since I purchased the truck I was only getting 15.

EDIT: Just wanted to say its not the change from Winter fuel because that was done I believe in late March early April.

How are you getting that with 34's, what are you doing to get that milage?

    Supercharged!
I also drive a 40mph commute, with minimal hills. The truck barely needs gas to cruise at that speed. It really is a matter of circumstances for me. I can almost make the entire drive without the "economy gauge" going below the halfway point, most of the time it is fully green... except when I start from a stop sign and burn some rubber!

That will do it. I would love a SC but just purchased a house so that dream is gone. I DAP tuned mine and get around 16.1 with 50 mile round trip commute up and over Teton Pass. Getting a commuter car to take some of the milage off the truck.

That's still good mpg @16.1... especially at altitude over the pass!

There really should be a sub category on this forum for all the gas mileage threads that pop up everyday. And a sticky thread where everyone can post a picture of their dash showing the average mpg they are so proud of.

My MPG average in my stock 07 with 89 oct. is 15.6-15.7 over the last 3 fill ups no cruise control. If I keep my foot out of it which is hard to do. Hand calculating
