I don't suppose there's any way to use Techstream to change the factory remote start settings so it stays running when you unlock it?

I've been told NO. It is not a settable option.

the deal i got, remember it was a "Deal of the Day" which means they have different ones everyday just have to be on the look out and its online only, i paid $300 plus tax which included installation and the bypass module. So if your not in a big rush i would wait it out to see if they have it again, you can also sign up for email and they will send you deals everyday.

I'm on my sixth viper alarm alarm system and my third pager based system. I have been very happy with it and i have had several times when I was in a theatre or restaurant and my pager alerted me to my alarm going off. I would highly suggest adding the phone module alert system to the alarm. This enables you to monitor you truck from anywhere you have cell signal! You can set parameters like speed limit alerts, parameters to alert you if the vehicle leaves and all your normal alarm functions including remote start. This is by far my favorite add on feature to any viper system. So if you have kids or a wife using your car you can hit location and see exactly where your truck is, what speed it's going or if it's parked. Only bad part is you have to pay for a 1,2 or 3 year service for the app.

I just wanted to put this here because I discovered you can start your Tundra with the factory remote. I’m not sure if it’s an option or works on every Tundra but I know for sure this works with the 2020 platinum and 2021 trd pro.

    1. To start the engine, just press and release the lock button on your key fob twice within two seconds. The hazard lights will flash each time you press the button.
    2. Then press and hold the button for three seconds. The hazard lights will flash once when you press the button, then once again after three seconds.
    3. Once the engine starts, the hazard lights will flash for 20 seconds.
    4. Once it’s started, if the engine is left running in Park for 10 minutes, it will automatically shut off.
    Turning Engine Off Remotely
There are two ways to turn the engine off using the remote engine starter.

    1. To turn the engine off and unlock the doors, press the unlock button.
    2. The engine will turn off, the hazard lights will flash twice, and you will hear two beeps.
    3. To turn the engine off and lock the doors, press and hold the lock button for two or more seconds. The engine will turn off, the hazard lights will flash once, and you will hear a single beep
