Hey! I am thankful to be part of the community very soon. I am willing to purchase a Toyota Tundra. However, I do not know much about them. If someone can leave basic information on the truck, a good model of it (ex. SR5) and a few modifications. I definitely want a lift and some underlighting. If anybody could help, it would be great. Thank you Tundras!

    Welcome!

Not sure if you're still shopping as this thread is a month old, but I just stumbled onto it by the Region forums. I bought an SR5, TRD Off-Road, double-cab model a couple of months ago. I absolutely love it. It has the 5.7L iForce engine, 38 gallon tank, etc. What you will find on this forum is that you can mod up anything that you buy to make it into anything you want. The OEM Parts thread has all the information you might want on changing out anything and everything. Even though my truck looked great on the lot, I've found myself buying small cosmetic updates to personalize it.

My suggestion, using the always 20/20 hindsight, would be to consider an SR model with the engine you want. From there, you can add anything you may want (assuming you're willing to get your hands a little dirty) to turn the truck into something that is you. Or, depending on your budget, and if you'd rather not risk it, I'm very happy with the SR5 TRD package that I have. I consider it a middle of the road package.

There are build threads on here that go into painful detail on what you can do to the truck if you're willing.

Good luck. I think if you post in the new member thread you'll get much more feedback. Again, I just happened to stumble on this post today.
