i just picked up my truck four days ago and have loved it. I’m still in the honeymoon stage and found a slight imperfection with the driver’s side front window tint. It doesn’t reach the mirror cover like the passenger side does and appears to be cut slightly short and at an angle. Am I being too picky or would you all want it redone? I’ll post the best pics I could get. It was done at a place here in Nashville called Xtreme. The dealer had it done as part of the purchase negotiations. Thanks

The picture is not showing what you are talking about. I understand what you are saying though. Guess it depends on the size of the sliver of missing tint. It must be really small though, because I'm not seeing it.

I can see it, and I would venture to say you are gonna fixate on it so you might as well get it redone. To some it would be no big deal, but you will need to figure that out for yourself. I know me, I would be looking at it all the time. It's up to you...

I 100% would get it redone. That's lazy work that any reputable tint shop would not want on the street.

Get a Sharpie and fill it in! LOL

The tint shop should redo it, sure it happens a bunch.

Yeah - you're not being too picky at all. That's light gap is not acceptable. However I will mention that this is a common issue on Tundras 07+, especially if the installer is inexperienced or new to tinting Toyotas.

I have been installing since 2009 ish and I know exactly how this happened. '07+ Tundra front windows shift away from the front seal (mirror side) when rolled down. You need to cut the pattern accordingly or you will have a light gap on the bottom half just like this. I still remember the first Tundra I tinted several years ago - same thing happened to me.

If the shop is reputable they will definitely take care of you on this. Good luck!

I was sitting in my truck reading this and immediately rolled my window down to watch what you described. Lol wonder if anyone else will too.

Lol yep! The window doesn't shift much, just enough to mess up a tint pattern. Those cuts need to be precise!

Thanks for the advice! Just took it to the tint shop and they agreed that it wasn't done well. They are going to replace both windows on Friday. I’m hoping for a better result.

I agree, but went with the darkest legal tint I could.
