    Hey guys will be taking the Tundra to the Outer Banks for first time in July. Been going there for years but been using a borrowed suburban to drive on the beach. It was a more lower profile and we aired down to 20 psi. Advice on driving the Tundras psi on beach. Tires are at 39.5 each and wonder if need to air down to 20 or think would be good at 25-28. Tundra has a little bit of lift. Exited to see how will do on the beach.IMG_3430.jpg

    It’ll do fine there. Went there 2 years ago and drove on the beach with the horses. I didn’t Air down the first tine as it was wet sand, next time I aired down to around 25 and hit the dry spots behind the houses. No issues and super fun

    I believe airing down is mandatory now on Carova, so... 15-20 PSI is the sweet spot with my experience on the beach. Sometimes I don't even need 4-wheel drive.

    The folks that don't air down are the ones that are usually stuck, and are making the deep ruts and washboards that we all love to shake our fillings out on.

    Don't forget your shovel and snatch strap!

    Good deal were down in Avon so dont have to drive sand to get to house just few of the ramp we surf fish at.
