Poll: What wheels do you like better (yes another one of these threads)

So @Erichudgins sent me a few pics of my truck with different wheels and thanks to him I have ideas in my head now. I have to admit, I'm not the biggest fan of black wheels but given my unique color I didn't think anything else would look good.

Just for shits and giggles, what does everyone think? More focussed on the color not the style or make.

I love these threads.

The gunmetal speaks to me.

 

1000% gunmetal. black is so played out. I think the stock OR wheels look amazing because of the machined look. Black is such a fad. I had matte black Method Roosts on my last Tundra, and thought it looked terrible.

 

I say black & the icon rebounds because it goes with the rest of your truck ... I know you said not make but just my worthless $.02

 

I like the bronze, but on your truck definitely the gunmetal..

Edit: @boardude I've checked out your wheel pics; I also vote gunmetal. Black looks good but gets lost in the overall effect.

I love Inferno, and I love dark bronze, but I don't like the two paired. I had to buy a second truck so I could have something to wear dark matte bronze .

 

yeah If I ever do swap them out it will probably be to the icons

This is how I think which leads to more ideas lol. 18's to 17's would mean new tires, so might as well go to 37s, then comes the glass

I know I love the inferno and I've always loved the dark bronze wheels. They look so good!! The only time I kinda wish I had a white truck.. kinda lol

Haha! I wouldn't choose white. Dark bronze look good on everything... except Inferno. And maybe yellow.

Hey, Kris, find some pics of bronze, dirty after a trail run. It changes the colour completely. I kinda like the look of dirty wheels, and they clean up great but, as much as you take your truck out, it'd be a bummer if you go with bronze then get disappointed that they don't "pop" like they do all clean in this photo.

(And yeah, I just really don't like Inferno + bronze .)

 

Black isn’t a fad. A fad comes and goes people have been using black wheels for at-least 10 years now. Mostly because they contrast better and people feel they can go longer without washing since they hide dirt (I’m assuming this). Also in almost every case black wheels do look better. It’s all personal opinion, it has nothing to do with a fad. In this case I would stick with black. Or maybe even a polished look.

 

Funny because I'm normally all about the titanium or gunmetal but on Black and Red trucks, I usually prefer bronze.

The key with bronze IMO is it needs to be a darker matte bronze. Too light or too shiny and it starts looking more like brass.

This one is on the brighter side but it still looks good...


But here is a darker version and it looks much better IMO (granted lighting plays into this as well)...

 

Black and bronze were a toss up for me, but if you wanted to be different, go with bronze. You have so many warm tones with the Inferno and decals that the bronze just works.

 

that's for sure true. faux beadlocks are lame... as... hell.
