My Tundra is getting a 3/2 leveling kit on Thursday. If I told someone it has a 3" lift on it am I lying? I've heard y'all reference 3" lifts and also heard the term blocked or leveled. How am I supposed to convey this?

Yes it is a lift. Are you lifting the front 3"? Are you lifting the rear 2"?

3 in front. 2 in the rear. (insert giggle here).

    It's a 3/2 lift.
A 3" lift would mean 3 inches in the front and 3 in the back.
A 3 level would mean just 3" in the front. Level would mean either 2.5 or just say 3/1 level.....you get the point.

When somebody at the gas station asks "what kinda lift ya' got there?" Its much easier to just say 3" than watch their eyes glaze over as you explain the intricacies of leveling, shims, diff drops, shackles and carrier bearings, and that ain't no lie.

This is true. I just say 3" in front 1" in back.

Some Mods :) See build thread for details
For ease of discussion with those unfamiliar with details of lift just say 3" lift. Just like those that have a drop bracket 6" lift with ~3.5" rear lift would just say 6" lift.

If you are talking to another Tundra owner wanting a similar lift then tell them the details. 3" front and 2" rear.

BTW 3/2 will not be level. You should be a little high in the rear. 3/1 is virtually level depending on who you talk to and what the actual lift is in the front.

Thank you @csuviper . I plan on hauling my wife around so I should be back to level. Thanks though.

I usually just get a "that big ol truck" and i say "yup". Apparently, no one even knows what a lift kit is in my area.
