    Sedona is an amazing place!

Took two trails today, Schnebly Hill and Broken Arrow Trail.

    I’m gonna keep it real.

Schnebly hill has amazing views but it is Rocky AF! Slow trail without any go fast sections until the end. I ran it from Sedona to Munds and did not want to go back down the way I came because it was too damn rocky. Not difficult just plain Rocky.

Broken arrow trail was intense! And running it alone even more intense. Some “Jesus Take the Wheel” sections for sure. Def some hitch dragging and some straight teetering. I took some questionable lines towards the end but came out without damage. This trail is not for the faint of heart. If you do not know what you are doing you can do some serious damage.

Devils staircase is as crazy as they say. Sure it looks easy on video or if you have other full size trucks in front of you but alone...different story. Found a nice line to come down without any scraping though.

Ran it without sliders heard some plastic crack on my oem steps but didn’t damage it surprisingly. No body damage but pretty sure my sides are littered with pinstripes.

Also any experience with infants hiking up to devils bridge?
Is the top really that steep?
From what I'm finding its not the way up but the way down that makes me nervous to carry my daughter on my back.

My wife and I hike fairly often but Baby on your back gives me a little anxiety specially if we have to climb rocks.

Here are the 3 trails we ran at T2S

Broken Arrow- must do. If you’re comfortable getting over the gatekeeper, you should be fine for the rest of the trail. Scenery is incredible.

Greasy Spoon- pretty easy, fairly scenic towards the end. Pretty short so you’ll probably want to run it back when you get to the end.

Smiley Rock- do not attempt without sliders and full armor.

And Schnebly Rd- (road from Sedona to where we camped)- very easy. Just really rough and long. But lots of incredible views along the way and worth doing at least one time.

I've done some probably inadvisable hiking with my daughter on my back. You can always go look and decide for yourself. If the Devil's Bridge hike looks like too much, just go back to the truck and drive the rest of the trail up to VanDeren Cabin.

That's what the wife and I were talking about! We will see.
The crowds alone may stop us from attempting any way.

Thanks for sharing. I'm heading to Sedona with the family next month. Will likely take the Tundra, it's a stock (with upgraded tires) TRD Pro and was curious what trails I could manage. Broken Arrow looks too intense for me, Schnebly, Devils Bridge and now Greasy Spoon are on the list so far.

You can do Broken Arrow but the turns are tight, your hitch will drag and your paint will get striped. Once you get to chicken point and go up there’s no going down the way you came. Your front end would get ripped off. The trail at chicken point is pretty confusing because looking at the tire marks you just say to yourself “is that the way?” “No way” “oh sh*t it really is the way” lol

Devils Bridge is a short drive to the trailhead. The hardest part of the trail this weekend was the crowds walking up and down. You should be able to clear everything.

There were people in suvs with regular tires doing schnebly. Like I said it’s just rocky. I recommend going in from munds driving half way maybe towards merry go around rock and going back where you came. From schnebly vista it takes the same amount of time going either way even though through munds is way longer in distance.

    Didn’t do soldiers pass.
After schnebly and broken arrow on the same day I was done with off roading.

Thanks for the info. I'm pretty sure I will skip Broken Arrow, especially since it would be a solo run. Maybe I'll get the chance at T2S 2020....

Start Devils Bridge early. Before 7 or latest 8 am be at the trailhead.
There's only room for about 6-8 cars.
After 8 am the line to take a picture on the bridge gets super long.

Haha! When we drove up Schnebly after dark, an old gal was driving down toward us in a really low van/ cross-over. I guess every one of us warned her off; by the time I tried flagging her to roll down her window, she was pretty done with it. I'm pretty sure she was cussing at me. Meanwhile, it was rough as hell. I can't believe she made it down without damage.

Yeah, Schnebly is enough to put anyone off off-roading. Unfortunately, we did it outside of daylight viewing hours. Next time, I'd be okay to skip it. I second your advice about going part way (for the views) then going out the way you came in; anyone reading his thread before heading to Sedona, I second this.

Bummer there's no water there now. :( There were several falls still running when we stopped during T2S.IMG_7157.jpg

Funny thing last year we were in Sedona working our way back to the campsite The Rruck gps said 10 miles. The wife’s phone said 50. We took the shorter route. The wife was initially unhappy with me as we took the trail as the sun was setting. We got some great pictures and are still married:) But you said it. It wasn’t hard just rocky. The wife even wanted to do it again the next day so she could see it in the daylight.

Solider pass was a good hike. Was just down there last weekend and we hiked it with our little one on our back and two pups. I'd say Doe Mtn definitely had a couple more sketchy sections but was definitely worth the views at the top.
