    All these electric cars in an effort to save the environment while the owners are ignorant that most of electricity used to charge them comes from coal fired power plants.

    not to mention the pollution from the new plants that make batteries. Or where the wore out batteries eventually end up.

    All the above, plus are our power grids up to the task? Everyone is going to get home in the evening and plug in. Seems like a high chance of rolling blackouts with that kind of load. They already get them in the big metro areas I understand.

    I agree on the "green" aspect however if you've ever rode in a Tesla Model S then you know electric can be/is fun. I've got no qualms with electric cars as I find near instant torque thrilling but the argument for being more "green" then a European turbo diesel (for example) getting 48-5x mpg is silly.
