NO LONGER HAVE A TUNDRA... Waiting
Here's a MotorTrend article I just came across today. https://www.motortrend.com/news/toyota-honda-or-gmc-which-trucks-are-the-best-values/

No Surprise here, with two separate headlines

TOYOTA TACOMA—BEST OVERALL VALUE MIDSIZE PICKUP

TOYOTA TUNDRA CREWMAX—BEST OVERALL VALUE FULL-SIZE PICKUP

The Toyota Tundra hasn't received a full redesign since the 2007 model year. Despite its age, it boasts excellent reliability like its smaller Tacoma sibling. The Tundra CrewMax also offers the best value of all full-size trucks on the market.

The truck has a total ownership cost of $43,908, considerably lower than its expected cost of $49,422. It retains a whopping 69.05 percent of its value after five years.

In second place is the GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab with an ownership cost of $47,365 and a retained value of 59.74 percent. Rounding out the top five are the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew Cab, Toyota Tundra Double Cab, and GMC Sierra 1500 Double Cab.
Good things are on the way for the Tundra. The next generation is rumored to sit on a platform shared with the Tacoma, and we anticipate it will receive an updated cabin design and better fuel economy.

GM beat Ford to the list?? Where's the #1 selling truck?

No but they are a guilty pleasure occasionally for me. I don’t know if it’s because they bring back memories of my childhood or just that simplicity of them. Also Fish fillet and Bigmac.

I liked Micky Dees cheeseburgers, but recently made the switch to Wendy's cheeseburgers and fries.

The new 'reformulated' meat at the Golden Arches tastes sooo bad (and looks sickly). I'm cured. I need to cut the fat now that my gallbladder is someone's science project LOL floating around in a jar of preservative and McD's has made it easy for me. Their fries aren't what they were when all the good tasting trans-fats were removed, either. And I can make a better shake at home (with low fat ice cream). I had tried the McRib the first time they introduced it ages ago. I'll pass. Bison burgers on my Cuisinart griddler thing, or on the bbq grill are the bomb with sauteed onions on top and some thousand island dressing.

As for the conclusions in this article, we already knew this. I see a lot of old hilux trucks around, working hard hauling stuff, almost impervious to time it seems, bringing home the bacon. They wouldn't be out there if they weren't reliable with basic maintenance.
