Yes you could do that yourself too like I did or you can use the piece you have to get the middle cut to match up.

Well I contacted the seller with photos and they issued me a full refund. So I'm happy that end worked out. I did find another place that I had originally saw this, contacted them, and they do a single 1 piece. This is the place with the $25 shipping, yikes.. but after that first fiasco, its probably worth it to have it right. That's what I get for trying to save a few $$.

    Flux capacitor!
This is exactly what I was going to suggest. Most vinyl installers use this so they don't have to cut over a painted vehicle.

For the record, I got a credit back on that 2 piece Decal. Ordered another one and confirmed it was 1 piece. Paid a little more but worth it. Got the new one in and its awesome, went on so much better. It was a touch too wide for the hood body lines but not enough to worry about.

Looks much better. I saw a 2017 Tacoma TRD Pro in Barcelona Red last night that has a hood treatment very similar to this. Looks very nice.

Not really all that hard at all. Just need a decal squeegee and then a spray bottle with water and dawn dish soap solution. Clean the hood really good to start, then soak it with the soap/water solution. Want to cover all the area where the decal will go. Then carefully peal the decal off the back paper, spraying it with the soapy water so that it doesn't stick to itself or anything else. Lay the decal and move it around so that it's all lined up, spraying more under it when and if needed. Once you have it set, use the squeegee, starting from the top center and work your way out each way and down. If you do it right you shouldn't have any trapped air / water bubbles under. If you do you can try to work them out, or make a very tiny cut in the center and work it out.

A little of this and a little of that.
It looks to me if they had cut it right it would have worked out.

I'm not sure if it was them cutting it right, or if I was off by the slightest hair and that caused it to have the gap. Either way there is no room for error. The full 1 piece is so much better and easier. Just line it up with the top of the hood and body lines.

CBR.jpg Found a auto wrap place outside of Atlanta. They put a 1 piece 3M vinyl on for $120.

It's been on for a year now. No issues. Cool thing on this application is they were able to do the grove in the hood before the windshield. It was kicking up a blinding glare when the sun was hitting the white hood just right.

Was it ACW that did this? I'm getting them to wrap my wife's car, and have only talked to them on the phone and via e-mail. How are they in person? How is the shop?

Yeah man. It was http://www.atlantacustomwraps.com/ . Two thumbs up. It was funny because I was worried about the shop with my new truck until I walked in. Saw cars similar and more beastly then the ones on there home page getting totally wrapped. It was a cool experience and the vinyl has performed so well 40k miles already I'm thinking about getting the roof done also. I'll see if I can find some pics.

That's great. You know when you see all these nice cars all over their website, you wonder if that's all staged for marketing and whatnot. They're very nice on the phone and sending me samples in the mail for free so that I can see the colors in person without having to make the 2.5hr drive there.
