Its not impossible, just a pain. There are a bunch of tabs that you have to pinch inorder to remove the big black plastic piece that runs the width of the bumper. You'll also need to pull the back side of the 7 pin trailer connector, which was a pain. You will need a bunch of screw drivers, so that once you pinch the clips and push them up you'll shove a screwdriver in so the clip doesn't go back in. You'll also want to use some ratcheting closed end wrenches to take some bolts off the top of the chrome pieces that are tight against the bottom of the tailgate.

i believe there's a link to some install threads in "the ultimate oem parts thread"

I will concur....it's a hassle. Why are you needing to remove it?

The top black piece comes off pretty easy with the help of some one else as like stated above lots of clips. I was at the bottom pushing clips and my wife was keeping pressure from the top so the clips wouldn’t go back in place

I have a scuff/scratch in the right bumper, which i didn't do,and i can't stand looking at it!! Not sure if i want to replace it,have it painted or use the bumpershellz. The chrome doesn't bother me but its pricey to replace just a cap..

Bumpershellz might be the best/easiest solution then. I just ordered the fronts in white on Wednesday during the group buy. The group by is going on until next Wednesday (5/22/19) I believe if you want to jump in before it's too late. Group buy will get you 15% off. The fit and finish looks really good from the pictures others have posted up.

You don't have to remove the whole plastic cover to do one side. Just make sure you have a racheting box end wrench of proper size. I believe it is a 12mm. Be careful not to break any of the tabs. I thought I had all mine released and ended up breaking one. Not the end of the world if you do especially if it is an inner one.

Nope not if are just doing one side or one at a time. You can prop up the plastic cover enough to do one side. Like I said make sure you have a racheting box end wrench in 12mm. A racheting cresent would work too. Just not enough room for a rachet. You need to take the center bolts out not the ones towards the ends. You can deal with those once end cap is off.
