Well, I took the plunge and bought one. Ended up buying it from REI because of "Company Bucks" that can be applied towards REI gift cards. Still deciding about a cover and have a few days left.

CFX 65 single zone. Might be a bit too big since ice isn't needed anymore. My Mojave trip in April proved to me a fridge is a better idea. With the warmer weather (80+) and 4 dyas, my ice was pretty much melted on day 3 with my Rtic cooler. The 65 will come in handy for the Turkey run though. My buddy I went with to Mojave had a Dometic and a single battery in his T4R. I was impressed with how low the power draw was and storage space. I double bagged my food and some still got wet. Life's going to be better on trips now

 

I have one of there 95dwz models.. all I can say if you want a fridge freezer.. it will blow you away at how fast it cools down... they are heavy as ... I use my for work and it's been my work horse for over 3 years and it travels with me on the road coast to coast.

They are like the pelican cases tough as .

 

95 is a monster hahaha. The CFX models will operate as a fridge or freezer, just not at the same time. It would if I got the dual zone though, but I don't have the need.

 

Monster more like a beast on steroids. One thing I can think of that needs improvement is there app it sucks to a point.

 

yep. funny though is my buddy with his walmart special cooler had more ice left after 4 days than my RTIC...grrr.....trick is also to keep it under a shade or use dry ice. we usually camp in the middle of the desert for multiple days with 100+ temps and this is our experience.

 

Was that 'Wal*Mart special' a Lifetime? I have one and I'm stunned by how long it keeps ice. 8 days (2 of which were full sun in an open truck bed through the desert). Oh, and it's got a place for a lock and Grizzly-proof certification...!
