I do too, and I also like the fact that we can tilt the screen.

It's probably is nice, but in reality it will be mostly hidden/covered up by the screen.

No you won't see much but the side textured area is what I wanted to match and look good. It was going to either be the high gloss black like you got or keep the original color/texture. I think both really really good but i wanted to keep it as it came and side by side this one looks more like the OEM one.

I bought the cheapest bezel I could find, ended up not using 90% of the kit, only the black trim and I can't see 80% of it because of the screen.

I'll get that side photo to you later tonight.

I'm buying that one before my trip to Colorado. Does it have the ability to monitor trans temps? I'll be pulling Raton Pass.

Also I seem to have a parasitic draw now after installing the radio. Didn’t drive the truck since Sunday, tried to start this afternoon and it was dead.

Keeping a voltage meter on it, it dropped from 12.17 to 12.13 in about 30 min with everything off.

I had the power set to 30 sec, now I’ve changed it to Auto. Anyone have any idea what auto means?

Also, anyone having the same issue?

Are you talking about the “Auto Sleep” option for the shutdown delay? If so, I would change it back to anything but “Auto Sleep”. From what I understand, this mode will put the head unit in sleep only mode and will draw power from your battery. I had to take mine off the “Auto Sleep” option for other reasons, but I would try that first.

EDIT: Reading your comment again, it looks like you had set it to 30 min and have now changed it to auto. I don’t think I am having this issue, but then again, mine is a daily driver.

Hmm. That’s odd. If you had it set at 30 mins, it should have shut down within that time period and not draw anymore power from the battery.

I actually had it at 30 seconds, because I don't drive my truck that often, didn't want the battery to die.

I put it on a trickle charger last night and so I will set it back to 30 sec and see if the battery dies again. It was a new battery when I bought the truck, so I know it's not the truck/battery.

Is there a way to get blind spot camera feeds on this unit?

It's asking a lot but a PIP for left and right channels during HWY driving would be amazing

Interested in where your planning on mounting them.... Under the mirrors or the little plastic sail panel in front of the mirror?

You could probably mount the front camera that everyone uses on the plastic case around the mirrors. Just gotta figure out how to get the cable inside.

Just depend on the angle when installing. They also have ones you can adjust the viewing point.

The link in my signature will show how to route cables into the cab. Had to do it when I installed puddle lights in my mirrors.

So just an update I am still having a battery drain issue.

Pulled my 7.5a radio fuse and my voltage stopped draining. So I can only assume it's not my amp, but I am going to try that next.

I have been on the XDA forum and this is apparently a relatively common issue with Android radios. Several have reported their ACC wire and the Constant 12V wires in the canbus were backwards. They cut the 12V constant and wired it into the ACC wire so the unit would only power on with ACC power.

Some stated their Joying (another Android brand) was wired backwards from the factory.

Either way, this really only affects me as I drive my truck 1 or 2 times a week. For you guys that daily drive your truck, this wont matter.

But I am about to dry camp in Colorado for a week, so I guess I'll pull my fuse so I don't strand myself in the mountains with no source of electricity.

Either way, great digging and research. My 9.0 should be showing up any week now, but there often times where I take my SuperDuke to work and I don't move my truck for a week+.

I'll be curious to see if my 9.0 has a similar issue.

Well, that’s annoying. Can I suggest you install a kill switch for the constant 12v? Might be the last resort.

Do you have any suggestions? Are you thinking like a physical toggle switch somewhere hidden in the cab?
