This one took me forever to get started. I tried contacting Excide, they expressed NO interest in this. I contacted Optima and they pretty much ignored my constant requests for a discount. I couldn't get a vendor to provide discounts on Odyssey.

Northstar, on the other hand replied and directed me to a distributor that's more than willing to work with me with this one.

The AGM34M is available for the group buy?

 

So if I have a "3UR" 5.7 in my 2019, am I reading it right that I'd want the 27F size?

Or to put it another way, what model number for the biggest baddest NorthStar (winch, pod LEDs, 20" light bar...) I can fit in there with no modifications?

I read the technology page but why is this battery better than another type such as Optima, etc...? Is there something different about these ones compared to others?

Yes it is. Been covered here on the forum as pretty much wives tales. "Anything is better than Optima these days" is simply not fact. North Stars are great batteries too. Good luck with GB.

 

Would have to reach more than 21 for it to be cheaper than HERE If we can get there then I would be in, not sure if that will happen though.

If the group 25 batteries were in the GB, this may help people buy 2 for the Genesis Dual Battery system.. Just sayin. As of right now, I am getting ready to order Odyssey...

 

Doesn't look like Northstar makes a group 25. Maybe there's a similar size?

So dumb question - is there a way to know how much life your battery has left in it? Voltage still shows normal on the dash, but the truck is 2 years, 50k miles old.

 

No way to really tell. Mine pooped out at 2 years ~35k mi

@ramonortiz55 my apologies, I thought my battery that was going bad would make it till this group buy. Ends up I had to run to Napa Auto parts and get a new one 30 minutes ago. Again my apologies but I need to be removed form the buy.
