Not sure what happened but the sound seems better in my Tundra.

I was looking at spending 2500.00 on a new JL Audio system and yesterday morning when I got in my truck you could hear stereo, Bass, etc.

Before it sounded like a truck from the 70s with just dash speaker but all speakers were working.

    Now it sounds great.

I am on the fence now about upgrading it but still want to.

    Not sure what happened.

    Looks like entune was updated

Maybe your phone settings were jacked, and somehow they got fixed?

Can we get a better definition/description of exactly what that means. And how it came about.

    Well,
When I looked at the apps it didnt have an "Eco" button on there and now it does.
    The panel looks different.

I could give you a screen shot of what it looks like now but think it would be a moot point as you dont know what it looked like before.

Before the sound I was barely able to listen to it. People in my truck would just listen to it and give me that WTF face.

I don't have a JBL system they weren't offered in the Pro so I thought that was it.
I would rather listen to my phone than the truck radio.

Then yesterday I told a friend that it seems to sound better or I am getting used to it. She said that I just didnt want to spend the money on the JL sysytem

We went to lunch and she agreed that I shouldn't upgrade, it sounds amazing.

I have no clue at all how it changed.

I kind of wish it was
I wanted a reason to replace it with a better one but now I just can't justify spending 2500 on a new system.
Even the guy at the audio place (I have known him for 25 years) said this is a shit system in a great truck

    I just dont get it.

Hit up James from Tech12volts.com before you go spend 2500 on a system. He has a Tundra and has tried tons of setups and has first hand experience how they sound in our trucks. He has excellent customer service and great deals on products. I upgraded during the group buy and got everything minus the HU for under 1k!

Man, that seems unlike him but it is what it is I guess. Install can be a pain in the ass in a few spots so not a bad call. I wish you luck getting it to be perfect for you!

    Working on it :-)
There are days where my JBL system sounds good and there are days where it sounds like crap. Same source (XM) I just dont get it.

It was like that for 6 weeks.
I went to the dealer and they said that it isn't a JBL so that is what it sounds like.
I wrote Toyota and told them the sound sounds like crap

They responded back asking for information to my truck.
Went to bed, drove to work and turned it on for talk radio but it was still running from my usb and it scared the shit out of me when I turned it on.
Had base, Stereo, sounded smooth (It isn't a million dollar rig so I can't expect much more from it) but I can listen to it now and it fills my heard with music instead of me hating it.

Maybe they didn't have the firmware in it or something but I am pretty happy with it.

I may still upgrade it because I went and looked at a system and love it as well. I just have to justify it in my head.
