My phone was paired to my Tundra for several years, but now the Bluetooth emblem will not light up, when I go to select a phone all I get is "waiting for Bluetooth" it will no go any further. I disconnected the battery for a minute but that only brought back the audio connection not the phone. Do you know how to fix this so I can pair my phone again?

Possibly a phone issue maybe? Have you tried to see if your phone Bluetooth works on another device?

Yes, my phone pairs to my wireless headphones, the Tundra says "waiting for bluetooth" it won't connect to any phone or anything with bluetooth.

Mine did this same thing about a week ago. I ended up deleting the phone from the truck then repairing it 24 hours later. Haven't had a problem since. Only crap part is you'll have to reconfigure all the settings you had for it...

I can't delete my phone because Bluetooth doesn't recognize any phones, that's the problem all it says is waiting for bluetooth, no phones are listed. I tried to reset it by disconnecting the battery but that didn't work either.

You have to reset the settings on the head unit, there's an option in setting if I recall correctly that will factory reset, it will delete all your current setting, preset stations and even the phone info.

Ended up taking it to the Toyota dealership and it needed a software update. Fortunately it was covered under my warranty! So that fixed it!

I'm having the exact same problem. She said my radio is under warranty any more and would have to pay for it. That makes me mad.

    I’m 2015 - definitely out of warranty.

    Any suggestions?
My Bluetooth is not lit up, when the truck is in park and not running.

I'm a new member and wanted to add that I had the same issue with my 2014 SR5 last week. Bluetooth just stopped after I paired a friends phone. Based on this chain I tried the battery disconnection which made no difference. There was no update that I could download from the net but dealer did a software update in 30 minutes for $50 (negotiated down from $75). Works great now; apparently as phones update Toyota also needs to update...
